Changed my setting to Audi a while back and noticed no difference. Anyone know if the "Plus" model is needed at all?

You probably mean the electric heater that comes with diesels in general. (If you spec it with a diesel here, you lose the electric heater) The webasto auxiliary heater that can be remote activated and uses fuel, costs ~1000€ extra.

As far as i know, it doesn't burn anywhere near as much petrol as when you'd have the engine running regularly, so there is much less exhaust gas.

superskoda prices seem to be in line with what i was offered. 200€ per wheel is just way too expensive for 3-4 months a year. I could get nice looking alloys for 100€ or less and steel rims for under 50€ Unofficial ones it is i guess.

I'm on my first car here and i've not done any of this research before, so here i am. I want to buy separate rims for winter tires and my official vendor gave some fairly crazy prices, so i'm looking around. Could anyone here clarify some measurement for me? I have 18" rims from factory but i want to buy 16" ones for winter. As i understand it, regular steel rims should be 6,5"x16 5x112 and offset of 41. This paired with 215/60 R16 99/T tires. It's fairly hard to find alloys with these exact numbers, though. I'm looking at ones that have most parameters the same, but the offset is 35mm instead of 41. Is this going to be a problem or is it a simple piece between some connection and good to go? Thanks

How do they work on octavia? My DRL's do become turn signals and flash orange on superb.

Got to be honest, carplay is super annoying because it always autostarts when you plug in the USB, cutting off your music and things on the screen. The stupid thing also cuts off your music on screen whenever you open ANYTHING on your phone when connected. Pretty **** without google maps/waze too.

Got it as an extra and no regrets. Friend bought a new octavia a month before me with the default sound and he already spent more time and money to buy and put in a decent sound system.(Canton is still better) Superb's standard is likely a bit better than octiavia's, but still.

They started making MY2017 cars on week 22 - was yours build before or after that?

Well, is your mirror frameless or with a large plastic frame? That's a pretty easy way to tell. 2017 is frameless.

I don't know if it's just the turbo lag or a combination of turbo lag + DGS lag, but i'm frequently annoyed by having 0 power for 1-2 seconds. I'm talking about when coming to a complete or almost-complete stop and wanting to accelerate. Like, say, heading to a roundabout and braking to let a car pass and wanting to accelerate to drive on. Or when braking to a red light, i see the light turn green when i'm rolling on at 10km/h or less, push the throttle and the car seemingly doesn't even register it for over 1 second. Overtaking has this problem too. I'm on someone's rear, going 85+ km/h (should have plenty of exhaust for turbo?), i smash throttle to try and pass and for 2 seconds easily, the car gives me 0 power, occasionally forcing me to reconsider the overtake. Certainly makes me reconsider turbo/dsg in the future. Tried on a friend's Octavia (less hp on engine) and it seemed to have less of this lag.

Activated Audi as manufacturer, but have not felt that much of a difference. Definitely not when coming to an alomost-stop and wanting to start moving again. Still felt like it took ~2 seconds for throttle to respond at all. I guess i'll see how it feels for a few days to judge more.
