  1. I was thinking of painting the tail pipes gloss black once the winter is over. Not a bad choice;-)
  2. My Sportline got 225/45/19 Continental Icecontact 2 -studded tyres for winter. A bit oversize but fit nicely, a bit narrower and a bit more rubber to soften the ride & give more clearance.
  3. I want (gloss) black rims to go with the black details Sportline has. Phoenix is the only gloss black OEM rim for Superb so it got chosen for winter tyres. Apparently I'm not the only one wanting black rims for Sportline and the supply does not match the demand at the moment.
  4. Got mine two days ago! Those rims will be replaced as soon as black Phoenix rims arrive from factory.
  5. Luckily you're situated in an area where sub zero temperatures are not very common;-). And you guys have only a few years to waite until climate change takes care of your problems;-)
  6. I would just add 4WD...you might miss that after Quattro...;-)
  7. In our country we don't have think about that option, I think even the cheapest car on market has heated seats as standard. Quite understandable since we've just, like every winter, experienced temperatures below -40 c...
  8. Hah, never thought that aspect. Then again, my first Superb arrives in February;-)
  9. Superbs in Latvia really seem to be substandard compared to all other countries;-)
  10. Supernova is not all black since it has a polished lip. Phoenix is available also all black (gloss) as seen in rainy pic a bit further above.
  11. This is a bit fruitless debate. Some people (me included) enjoy the feeling of power, speed and an effortless driving that some extra power brings along. And some people don't need that or atleast are not willing to pay the big extra cost for that. And both ways are just fine. As said before, it would be very boring if we all would drive similar cars. Not much to discuss on auto forums;-)
  12. It depends whether L&K has DCC or not. In many countries DCC is standard and it is 10 mm lower than normal chassis. In my eye SL still looks lower than just 5 mm, but I haven't made any measurements.
  13. Hpoom, how do you find sport suspension with 19", still comfortable enough? What about noice? Mine is coming with double 19".
  14. Sportline for less chrome, better seats and nicer cabin! The extras that L&K has standard can be picked from the catalogue;-)
  15. Great news, enjoy your cars! Just before christmas heard from my dealer that mine is going into production on week 1. So should get it in February instead of March. How long did your Sportlines take? Of course we'll have to add a few days to that due to longer transportation...
  16. That looks so good, congrats! And the picture confirms that black rims are best for Sportline. Mine will be all gloss black without the polished part that Supernovas have. By the way, you have the heated windscreen, does it have visible heating wires or not? In our country there has been some discussion that for MY 2017 Skoda would have gone back to the "old technology". I also opted the heated windscreen but don't want to look at any annoying heating wires...
  17. Nice! Mine is coming with two sets of gloss black 19" rims which suit for my taste better than those semi-polished Vegas.
  18. Pics when you get it! My red combi sportline is due in March.
  19. It would be nice if the seats had adjustable leg support like my current Audi has but still they are much better than the normal Superb seats (for me anyway). I decided to order one...
  20. I agree, Sportline looks more modern atleast to my eye with the absence of all the chrome trims. Combi Sportline 280 with quite a few extras is on the way...;-)
  21. Yes! Is it on 19" and standard sport chassis? We can't even order it yet...
  22. To the point and I might add that diesel engines are becoming more and more expensive to build due to the emission limits. Some Asian manufacturers are allready giving up on diesels and we are also seeing Germans putting more and more effort on hybrids and electric cars...
  23. Yes, Norian, I was also talking about real life situations, not one or two split second in a random youtube flick. As I mentioned, I have lots of hands on experience on Haldex5 (and Torsen) - have you? And it was 5 % MINIMUM. And I never said that serious offroad systems would not be more capable 4WD's but we were not talking about that here. And yes, I do know that Quattro is just a marketing title, I thought that I made that quite clear, It just seemed that you were not aware of that when talking as Quattro would be just one system (it's not two or even three different systems, there are more currently in production). And all A4 Quattros are not Torsen (as I already mentioned) because, unlike you, Audi seems for some strange reason to believe that electronic 4WD's are quite capable in real life situations. And yes, I've been to Romania and I am aware that occasionally you may experience a flake or two of snow. Getting decent winter tyres might be a bit more difficult over there though. But neither of the last mentioned points bare relevans compared with real life experience. I mean the ones that for example IsoE just mentioned (believe me, it wasn't me using different name;-). And if you google "Finland" or "Arctic circle" or "Santa Claus" you might notice that we do have some experience on winter conditions too. Although this is quite entertaining, I do have to call quits with this "my 4WD is bigger and better than yours" on my part. Do enjoy Torsen (if you have one, that is) because they are most likely history quite soon...
