I got these for my Yeti, and they fit Karoq just fine (probably better than half price - never checked the Skoda originals): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IRAC0JE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. Not if you buy on PCH (personal lease). At least that's what I have been told when I enquired before collecting.

Whatever that is that is not a monthly regular wage; so multiplying that by 12 is where the argument fails. Look up Skoda salaries on Glassdoor in the Czech Republic and you will see that 100,000 CZK / month does not even show up. A technician salary is 24,000CZK/month.

Fake news; unless you have a credible source for your statement? A well paid factory worker probably makes 1500 euro / month in the Czech Republic. Which is just under £16,000 pa. Later Edit: https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/skoda-auto-kovo-union-reach-new-collective-labour-agreement/ The monthly figure works out at around £1559 (this includes higher paid jobs - management, R&D, etc.) "The average salary of a ŠKODA AUTO employee covered by the agreement was 45,385 CZK in 2017."
  5. Thanks. What is the order number format? I have an 8 digit number on my order form that I received from the dealers. Later edit: It was the 8 digit number. Thanks.
  6. What do you need to ask for an update on delivery on the Skoda Chat?

    Order placed

I've no idea... probably too much hassle to get the car 1 week early.

Aaaargh, I wish I knew the SEL wait times are 2 weeks less for the SEL trim (compared to SE Technology).

I have ordered exactly the same but in Candy White two days ago from the local dealer. I was told to expect delivery mid-end February. Fingers crossed (my Yeti PCH ends Jan 31st). The wait begins...
  10. Simpsons want you to collect the car from them, but for people in the South of England it's a bit of a hassle. I have just sent the Simpsons offer to my local Skoda dealer to see if they can match it, and they did. It's worth a try.

    Lease deals

Usually the leasing company will just pay the fines and then charge the hire contract owner a £25 admin fee plus the fine... If you don't pay fines on the spot... Also says it in my contract.

    Lease deals

I am sorry to contradict you but what I am saying is FACT! I use a Yeti on PCH - Personal Contract Hire through Skoda Finance and both owner and registered keeper are Skoda Finance (this is also mentioned in the PCH contract and literature your get). Do not confuse this with Personal Contract Purchase (PCP). Give Skoda Finance a ring and they will confirm. I also own a Seat through PCP, and the owner are the Leasing Company but Register Keeper is myself. Just posting this here to raise awareness so that others don't go through the same problems I had when sorting out insurance (take out insurance then realised it's wrong, and call the insurer to change it, just to be told that they only insure you if you are the registered keeper.) I have tried to upload a page from the Hire Contract Guide which states this but couldn't work out how to do it.

    Lease deals

Yes, Fish Brothers Swindon, also matched the offer I got from an online lease company. I got an Outdoor 1.2TSI DSG - SEL for £1050 deposit + 23 x £170/month (PCH - 10,000 miles / year) (£4960 total). Extra miles at 3.5pence + VAT. Also, only 1 service needed as it's on the long service plan (approx. 20000 miles or 700 days). With PCH (personal hire contract), pay close attention when you get your insurance, as your not the owner or the registered keeper for the car (some insurers won't cover you if you're not at least the registered keeper). Also you won't see the V5C. So make sure your specify that when you get your quotes. (PCP is different as you would be the registered keeper).
  14. A bit off topic, but how long did it take for you guys to get your V5C? 4 weeks since collection and I still didn't get mine.
  15. My Yeti will get delivered to the dealer tomorrow. I will go to sign the finance documents tomorrow and collect the car on Saturday. (Ordered on the 9th of January - stock in Emden. Arrived in the UK last weekend.)
  16. Same here... I ordered 'built stock' already at the port (Emden) on January 9th. It should be shipped over to Sheerness. There was a Ro-Ro ship that came into Sheerness on Saturday but my Yeti wasn't on it, as the status still shows "Port of exit - released". I was told it should be here by the end of next week...
  17. My order is in business grey and I was wondering if that is how it looks like. I've only seen a Superb in business grey before ordering. :-)
  18. I have ordered a Yeti Outdoor 1.2 TSI SE L DSG it was a 'stock' meaning already built but still outside the UK. I was told it is now in one of the ports waiting the next shipment to the UK. Any idea of how long it would take to get here?
