  1. Thanks Scot5 - I just went on online chat with Skoda UK and he was quickly able to let me know about the order - Said I could jump on live chat and ask them to check it any time, I told him i will wait till Mid april then chase it up
  2. Skoda UK have checked the order - all looks OK they said it probably won't get a build week until April as there was a 25 week lead time when it was ordered so they said it will be around June when it should be delivered! Order form is obviously incorrect........now I have 3 months without a car haha! Oh well will save some money I guess!
  3. oh OK so it shouldn't still be waiting to be accepted at the factory then? I will get on to Skoda UK Customer services and see if they can help because i don't want to be without a car longer than needed!
  4. Well he has been & gone - was here about 40-45 mins inspecting it - picked up on some very dubious things that I will contest, total charges were £355 - my last skoda had far more door dings (from my old work car park) & scratches and I was charged next to nothing so I was surprised as this is in much better condition! £110 for the bonnet as he pointed out some little stone chips (minuscule as I hadn't even spotted them as stone chips they are black so I assumed it was just that tar stuff that needs a proper out polish !) but if you counted them there were more than 8 chips in the area so that will probably stand (although they are so tiny I don't think a re-spray is needed, a touch up and flat polish as per skoda charges book could easily be done on them but it's probably due to the number so don't think i can do anything there, probably a "fair" charge so to speak) £110 for a "stone chip" on the door (under the wing mirror and I didn't spot it) - now firstly.....it's not a stone chip, I pointed that out as it's raised up not dented in, so is some kind of splash back from something so will polish off, secondly it's not above 3mm so not entirely sure why it's even been flagged (photo attached) £36 for 2 alloys (Fair & accepted) Then it seems the remainder is for "scratches" on the door sills - firstly they are not even scratches more like marks that can be t-cut out (I didn't spot them to try and t-cut them to be fair!) and secondly they are not over 25mm as listed in the skoda charges sheet so not sure why they have been added as charges either! I didn't get charged for missing manual - he didn't even ask about it I don't know if I should have had the sheet straight away via email as he entered my email but it's not been emailed through yet and he ticked that I disputed the charges as I said I didn't want to agree to then dispute them with Skoda.
  5. My Octavia VRS is due to be collected today - I have had a VRS for the last 8 years so very sad to not get another one this time but the price on Lease was circa £80-£100 more per month than what I currently pay and I couldn't justify that cost! I ended up ordering a Kodiaq SE Drive 1.5 TSI - I think I will definitely miss the power of the VRS but looking forward to perhaps not having to winch myself out of the seat of the VRS when my back is giving me some bother (old reoccurring injury that flairs up every now and then!) The order was placed on 30th Dec, I had confirmation and an "estimated" delivery month of April. I dropped the dealership a quick email last week just to see if they have any update on build weeks and this is what they said So I am a bit confused what it means by the factory hasn't accepted the order yet? It's seems a long time to not accept the order from December? Is it likely that I won't be getting the car in April then?
  6. I’ll let you know how I get on Monday!! going to do a video internal / external and pictures tomorrow just to back up the condition
  7. Cheers All. I rung yesterday - spoke to some bloke clearly WFH as could hear every word his wife/GF was saying in the background and the dog going off it's nut when someone knocked at the door Anyway long & short of it he didn't know, couldn't find owners manual charge on his list so wasn't sure if I would get charged - said if I do just log a formal complaint and argue it wasn't delivered with one and also can be downloads FOC, so I will just have to wait and see!! Got the spare key hung up in the cupboard and i've cleaned it last week and t-cut some light surface scratches from trees and stuff (lots of narrow country roads round here!) which all came out, usual stone chips on the bonnet, not loads probably 5/6 but there is a dent in the door I noticed, you can only see if you stand at the boot corner and look down the car in a certain light, looks like its been popped by another car door, no paint damage at all - I tried to get it out pouring hot water on it and using those suction cups to no avail. Immaculate condition inside and 8k under millage due to covid and WFH for 12 months! I put £15 fuel in it yesterday!
  8. wondering if it's worth picking up something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Octavia-Owners-Handbook-Manual-and-Wallet-17-20/293741351474?hash=item4464595232:g:j~IAAOSwv2FfZPgh I know if delivery details etc are stamped then it won't match but will BCA even look at that? Or is it a waste of money if they won't charge for missing manual pack
  9. Hi all - my 2018 plate VRS goes back on Monday 1st March and is being inspected & collected on that day by BCA (apparently they do it all the same day now? The last few times it's been inspection one day and collection another day!) - there isn't any real damage to the car (few stone chips, few alloy scuffs) however I have just gone to get the "pack" that I thought I got with the car from my draw and it's not there I have looked everywhere in the house / car and I can't find it anywhere - now I do remember when my car went for it's service after 2 years I said to the garage I had forgotten my service book as I couldn't remember where I had put it and I would look for it to bring it down when I collected the car and the guy said it didn't matter as all the services were logged online now so nothing gets stamped and it wasn't needed and so I never looked for it but just assumed it was in my draw where I usually keep my car docs - with that being said, I can't remember ever getting it out / looking at it since getting the car, I remember on my last Octavia before this one it was a dark-ish grey pouch thing and I think it had a DVD case in it for the SD Sat Nav card and a couple of instruction manuals and possibly the service book (can't remember if my old one was digital service or stamps!) but I can't find anything like that in the house. Either A) I didn't get it??? or B) it is somewhere very 'Safe' and will probably turn up in 5 years!! Will I get charged for this as a missing item since it's just instruction manuals?? I had a look on the charges sheet and couldn't spot it, only the "missing service" which I assume just shows up on the system that it's been done now it's all digital. If I will get charged for it, anyone know what the charge for the missing manuals is? Thanks
