Sorry but I have to disagree, you would be okay with a 10 speed chain but 11 speed chains are marginally narrower making the tolerances even tighter, for the swearing and frustration its link pliers all the way! Master link pliers A decent work stand in my opinion is essential to maintaining bikes, had an Andy stand for a while but wasn't quite as versatile as needed so picked up a Feedback work stand (have since got the tool tray to go with it) Used everything in my 'bike drawer' multiple times, the only thing I've not used is the fork cutting guide, which I'll be using this weekend!

My OH has his Honda CRX in the garage plus a quite small tool chest so there's no room for mine. When I moved in, it was his idea to put the tool chest in the hallway. He does complain when i strip hope hubs on the chopping board though.... I could really do with room from a decent work bench inside but hey beggers can't be choosers! Need to trim down my carbon steerer at the weekend and with no work bench and vice it'll be an interesting experience!

You'll get annoyed with people not understanding the rationale of spending money on bikes though, just doesnt seem to work in peoples heads. 'You could of bought a car that much'

When you get one bike, get the majority of tools you're short of for the jobs you're capable of and then when you get a new one you may need a couple of other tools to do jobs. For example, at first you may have a threaded bottom bracket so will need a bottom bracket spanner, then when you change bike it may be push fit. Way back when, I started with a kit very similar to the one you chose and still have it now and use it just for cassette jobs and removing threaded bottom brackets, if I ever go away somewhere without tools I'll chuck it in the car and know I can fix the most basic of jobs. That aside some of the tools I have that I love...... Wera allen key set Wera torx set Park cable cutters Cyclus headset press (sourced the larger 1.5 inch adapters and this doubles up as bottom bracket press too) Headset remover Love a good tool shot too!

Apologies price now added. They dont all do it, this is a microswitch issue in that the car doesnt know that the drivers door has been opened at all, also the interior light wont then come on with the drivers door because the car simply doesn't know!

FOR SALE Skoda Mk1 Fabia 1.9 VRS 53 plate with just over 175k on the clock, it has now been replaced by a newer model Fabia so the mileage wont increase at all. The MOT expires 14th August 2017 and it passed with no advisories. The car has 6 previous owners, I've had it for a year and the owner before me was my bf who also owned it for approx a year. My bf works for a local College in the motor vehicle department so any problems have been resolved immediately and it has been maintained for the time we've owned it. It's a very reliable car and has never had any major issues, I can see it running for a lot longer and the only reason I've got a new car is I needed something with slightly more space. The rear tyres are practically brand new and the fronts have tonnes more life left in them. The alloy wheels all hold their air pressure but some of them do have some curb marks from previous owners. They would definitely benefit from being refurbished. The colour is definitely advantageous rather than a hinderance, it can been found in any carpark and will definitely stand out from the crowd. Nobody can say they didn't see you pull out in front of them! It was bought about three years ago from a Briskoda member who showed a screenshot of proof of the cambelt and waterpump. Has had patchy history before we owned it but since has been serviced religiously. Bodywork as to be expected from a car of this age, polishes up well as you can see from the photos. Good points : Aftermarket head unit with USB port and bluetooth connection. Recent front new pads and discs New windscreen washer pump. New VRS rear calliper fitted to fix the sticky handbrake problem the models get. It's had a different interior fitted than the standard VRS seats which are nice and dark so don't get grubby in a matter of seconds. Its got good partial service history with very recent air and fuel filter. It's had rear tints put in the back/rear window purely to hide contents from prying eyes. Bad points : The rear offside door lock doesn't work with the central locking so has to be manually locked and unlocked. The drivers door lock doesn't know it's being opened and closed. So if you unlock the door then open the door and put your keys on the drivers seat and walk away the car will lock itself. Theres a tiny bit of wear on the drivers seat, to be expected from a car of this age. The front drivers electric window switch can be picky as to how much pressure it requires in order to work. My feet can't hack the temperatures currently, rode Llandegla new years day and still recovering from frost bite so its turbo work for now!

Nicely done at this time of the year, It's not best for road cycling or cycling in general!

Replaced my mk1 fabia with a mk2 so my converted headlights have been stripped off the yellow car to return it to standard and are now for sale. These come with morimoto 6.0 projectors in them and gatling gun shrouds, not ebay cheap as chip projectors. The most noticeable difference between these and others available are the clarity and spread of the projector glass bowl. The headlight surrounds have been removed and sprayed black so slightly different look from standard. They come with 6000k h1 bulbs which have only been in the car for a year and considering the seasons, havent seen much burn time so still tonnes of time left in them. They have everything installed such as all other standard bulbs, working motors, plus all the wiring done inside the headlamps. All you need to do is plug in your ballasts and fit the headlights and off you go. £120 collected from Kidderminster or nearby otherwise would be prepared to have couriered once I've had the time to find a suitable cardboard box!

wow 30 secs, thats markedly slower than the Amundsen + in my car, thats gotta be more like 5 seconds if that!

It's a sticky slope of spending when it comes to bikes, it's why I never struggle at Christmas to fill a list!

Cheers for that link, interesting to read it has a 76kg weight limit on it. Really quite expensive though, think I'll stick with the slight lip in the boot for that cost!

Cheers for the video link, cracked it this time and decided to turn on the needle sweep and the beeping when locked/unlocked.

yeah i set to Australia as the location and everything went to KMPH including the mpg and overall trip, I then couldn't get stuff set back to miles nor the country reverted without restarting the whole system.

Bought the earlier recommended dongle from ebay and managed to get into the car today with my iphone. Nice few changes made and happy to spend the £8 doing so! Couldn't figure out how to change the large digital display to MPH, so it's still set to kph!

Nice looking frame, those rims are pretty WHITEEEEE!

Santa visited with some new floor mats and static stickers for the back window. Spent a tormenting hour test fitting some HIDs to the headlights today ready to order some replacement bulbs that will match alongside all other new bulbs.
