  1. From what I can see most advertisers are struggling to sell their cars, ads gets lots of views and thats about it. Discuss !!
  2. Hello, Yet another tyre question I need to replace the original Contis on my VRS TDI on 18inch rims. Would it be worth stumping up for Winter tyres (and if so which ones) or just going for a standard performance tyre currently favouring either the Toyo TR1 or the Falkens, Comfort and noise are the most important considerations.By the way have got nearly 20k out of the Contis mainly motorway driving
  3. I have had my VRS TDI for just under a year other than the glowlamp light coming on in the first few weeks a common fault on the diesel and easily rectified with replacement lead. I have had absolutely no reliability problems with over 17K miles on the clock, All good from my perspective.Hope this helps.
  4. Hello All, Had my MFD 2 in for a while and has worked well apart from 2-3 sat signal dropouts for 20-30 mins on long journeys. When I fitted with guidance from these forums I was aware that the MFD 2 does not support the aux audio in of the original stream audio system my question is, can this be reinstated for MFD 2 in some way so I can plug in my MP3 player. Any responses greatly appreciated.
  5. Hello All, I was in a Skoda dealership recently having some warranty work done on my VRS recently and got chatting to one of the sales people. I was interested to see what they would offer me trade in for my car, it is a 56 plate with approx 8.5k mileage and lots of extras, Race Blue, 18 inch alloys, Maxidot, Reverse parking sensors, Jumbo pack, Cruise control and I have also self fitted the MFD 2 Sat Nav thanks to guidance on these forums. Anyway he came back and said
  6. Hi All, When fitted drove round the block, warning lights were still on.This eve went for a longer run and all seemed to reset itself.Everything as normal now, Thanks for the advice.
  7. HELP !!!!! I have installed my MFD2 as per VRStu's directions on his website, I reconnected negative battery lead, powered up the MFD2 and entered code (MFD2 powered up OK and seems to be running but not done a full check) but the tyre pressure, electromechanical power steering and and ESP light stay on when the engine is running the ESP button also stays alight and will not switch off when I press it. Obviously now very concerned hope I haven't messed the electrics. Any guidance greatly appreciated.
  8. Hi Justdoit, I PM'd you re your offer to help fit thanks alot I will probably take you up on that when I recieve the MFD2, I will contact you nearer the time. Many Thanks
  9. Hello All After my last Ebay fiasco I have managed to secure a MFD2 and I am expecting it in the next few days. Having looked at VRStu's website installation instructions which are excellent but I am usually very poor at things like this and therefore not confident about installation and I am looking for somebody to install in the N West. Of course I would pay for this service and would like some guidance on where this can be done. Cheers
  10. Hi All, Had my eye on a Skoda MFD2 on Ebay for a week now and was a winning bidder until the last 20 secs when somm SOB from Denmark swiped it from me as you can guess seriously ****ed off the seller was DJKolia. There seem to be other sellers mainly from Lithuania.Anybody with any experience of buying from them or should I stay clear.
  11. Hello All, Got my new VRS TDI on Friday, Race Blue, 18 inch alloys, rear sensors, cruise and maxidot. I have only driven around 100 miles but already liking the torque and power. I will be doing a long run this week so will see how it goes and looking forward to 45+ mpg when the engine beds in. Any advice on how to get the best out of the car will be appreciated inc any essential mods such as engine chip/air filters etc
