Have you got the '230' decal on your 230?
HKRJohn replied to auditek's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Thankfully mine came without. -
VRS estates with mud flaps.

My neighbour has a VRS TDI 12 plate - 40k miles and no flaps. Bodywork is in good nick. Third Skoda for me VRS 230 no flaps for me; 7k per year always look after my cars and mostly town driving undertaken negates the need for flaps IMO. -
Nezman is spot on. IMO they are on the money.

Bi-xenon head lights. Is it just me
HKRJohn replied to rit's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Agreed. First time I have had a car with Xenons; big improvement. -
You'll love the car; enjoy. Best Skoda I've ever owned.

Previous car Octy 3 Tsi 1.4 hatchback slightly noisier than my current Octy 3 230 estate. Neither problematic noise wise for me. Rubber mat in the boot on both cars. .

Yes apologies and I wouldn't disagree with your view. I drove one Accord (2.0) and four Civics (1.6 & 1.8).

Third Skoda and second VRS Petrol. VRS 230 Estate 900 miles on the clock. Gave it a good run today and it was fast and rewarding. Had Honda's before I switched to Skoda's in 2010, bullet proof reliability but not engaging drive wise. Agree with others, I could pay more for another make but the VRS ticks all the boxes for me. My wife would drive a Citigo as cars don't interest her (nothing wrong with a Citigo). My daughter who is 12 is a badge snob would you believe, Mercs, BMWs, Range Rovers tick her boxes. Skoda ticks mine as previously stated.

Good result. You will be delighted with the VRS. Best of luck.

I would make some waves in relation to this unacceptable situation that you have been put in. I would write to them expressing your disappointment asking them what urgent action are they going to take to get you back on side. Ask for a response from the Directors of the dealership. VRS good option.

Had a 1.4 TSI Elegance 13 plate did exactly the same for the 13.5k miles that I had the car. Never bothered me to be honest. Car drove perfectly.
-
Would you choose a Vrs over a 2:0TDI SEL?
HKRJohn replied to Robkernow's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Had 3 Petrol Octys. 10 plate VRS; 13 plate Elegance (SEL); 65 Plate VRS 230 (estate). I do 6k miles a year. VRS the one for me. -
Not driven one but I know many people that have who all have given the Yeti a big thumbs up!
