  1. Hello all I would just like to thank everyone on here for being so helpful and knowledgeable you are a great bunch of guys!! I would like to make a special shoutout to 'Nige8021' for sending me the heated seat wiring diagram for my Octavia, it was extremely helpful and I did get half way through I was just after some L&K seats but seem quite rare. But on the 15 January the Octavia was hit up the rear and written off Category B (Breaker only) and with a few phone calls I have managed to get the car back, and have a plan to use the engine and box in a MK4 Golf which has a rather tired petrol engine. Thanks again guys enjoy your Skoda's !! I am now currently driving a BMW
  2. I'm not suprised the engine is worn being a 1.4 in an octavia how many miles has it done ? bet its not the quickest !!
  3. Hello Skoda driver yes I have had the door card off and the plug is spotless no water ingress at all and no green contacts
  4. Those VE engines like above don't actually have an EML they just put a flashing glow light on if something is a miss and usually puts it in limp mode having bought and sold recently an Audi A3 with a similar VE engine (a 110 as apose to the 90 above) that has a de cat and egr delete it passed MOT first time you have to make sure it looks standard because the MOT tester won't know exactly what was fitted to what car in what year. Get it blanked !! itll do the engine a power of good not breathing in its own exhuast
  5. Hello all after a full frustraiting day of messing with my octavia trying to fix the mad central locking doing whatever it pleased locking whilst driving unlocking when parked up clicking randomly etc I have narrowed it down to the central convenience module (1C0 959 799 B ) I have removed said module and now the car locks fine on the key and seems to be keeping quiet, now my question is if I buy a random one of these modules off ebay (same part number of course) will my original remotes work or will I have to get new ones programmed ?? I have VCDS that i got given off a friend of mine but no idea how to program keys ive only ever used codes and live data on my various VAG projects. Cheers all J
  6. It's probably knackered euro car parts should stock them
  7. Hi all me again Will Skoda superb 1 seats fit in to a 1u2 Octavia ?? Cheers James
  8. Hi all, I have a set of Octavia L&K wheels that need referb'ing but I am unsure of the colour name/paint code can anyone help ? Cheers James
  9. Cheers I might have a look at that im not that bothered about changing the MFD Head unit as i'm actually quite fond of it and the navigation does come in useful sometimes also i am quite fond of the OEM look Cheers
  10. Hello all I'm just wondering how long you've had your battery in your skoda, mine is a 2002 plate and still got the original battery !! Anyone else in a similar situation ?? Strange question I know but I think 16 years old is pretty dam good for a battery
  11. Cheers all for your replys i will have a look on the volume menu and have a play around Many Thanks all !!
  12. Hi Thanks for your reply So what is wrong with the mfd unit is it a fault with it or a limit or is it just badly designed?? Cheers
  13. Hi All I know absolutely nothing about ice so you'll have to bear with me, I have a mk1 2002 octavia with an MFD1 Radio I have an aux lead plugged into it and i plug my iPod into it but if im listening to quiet songs the volume won't really go loud enough its like the mfd has a volume limit ?? Would upgrading the speakers help ? If so I want some that will fit into the door without any modification and so the oem plastic mesh will fit over it like the original. price doesnt really bother me just as long as its right cheers James
  14. If its drums on the back could be wheel cylinders mine did the same
  15. You could put a resistor on to the airbag plug which will make the ecu think that everything is present and correct Nige8021 will probably be able to assist more because he is **** hot on octavia's !! Defiantly knows his stuff
