Was on A55 this afternoon and was just about to pass a truck carrying coarse aggregate when a largish stone from said truck must have fallen. I watched in horror as it first bounced on the road, then cringed as it clonked off the front of my week-old car. Visions of possible, all bad, passed through my head, and I only got the courage to check it out when I got to Keele services. Turns out it had actually bounced between the raised bits of the grille, leaving only a slight scuff...relieved is not the word! Anyone else had lucky escapes?

If you have to press the brake manually for any reason you have to toggle 'resume' on the lever to turn it on again- it remains on when you change gear though, which solves my annoyances with previous cruise controls I have used. This is for manual, assume it's the same with dsg The ACC lever is dirctly below the lights lever btw

Just done first longish run, 170 miles from Birmingham to south coast. Was great, 52mpg avg @80mph. Only annoyance was that I kept flashing people with main beams when I was trying to toggle ACC!

I'd actually ordered quartz grey, this was an alternative that was offered early - I prefer it silver now I've seen it, looks great with the sun on it and really shows up the contours of the bodywork.

In all seriousness, I'm really glad I went for the rubber ones. They fit really well, and just give that sense of increased confidence that they will minimize grubbiness! the carpet ones in my old car were so annoying to hoover.

Haha! Know the feeling- I picked up mine this morning and excitedly hurried back home to put the rubber mats in that have been sitting in the utility room for 2 months!

Tried to collect mine this evening, computer system that registers carvwith dvla was offline. Slightly annoying....ah well hopefully will be fixed tomorrow morning....
