Code read maf sensor fault so put new one in, reset light and 5mins of driving it comes back on same code any ideas?

Can this be moved to the mk1 octavia section of the forums, God knows how it's ended up here.

£1,100 Adrian flux all mods declared stage 2 remap 280bhp straight through exhaust etc etc.. 21 years old 1year no claims 2 years driving, and only 300 quid excess, I was paying nearly just over that for my 90bhp corsa!

I had left my old corsa to stand for 4 months, wouldent start, had to get some new wiring done and new battery.

Welcome to smiles per gallon, you have to forget mpg! Around town I average something stupid like 15mpg, but like the above post says, open roads it varys to around 25-40 with mine.

Sometimes when I pull away theres a rattling sound coming from underneath the car, personally it sounds abit like a heatshield loose on converter as I had that in last car, only does it when pulling away from still or slightly when going from second gear slightly doesent do it all the time,, ive tried revving stood still but it does not make the noise, don't do it in any other gears, got it booked in for week and a halfs time just looking to see if anyone can shed any light cheers.

This is an 07 Octavia vrs petrol.

My car gets to 95-100mph ( tried this on private land..) and it won't go past it,, it has done in the past, its like the pedal to accelerate cuts out, the revs don't jump they just slowly decrease as if I'd taken my foot off accelerator.. but the car doesent cut out, no noises bangs etc no smoke, I wait a couple of seconds for it to drop about 5-10mph and boost kicks in again strong as ever and cuts out? Accelerating in lower gears still feels fine cause I thought it might be a boost leak but no obvious signs? Any ideas :/

Engine is pretty loud 66K 07 plate stage 2 remap , considering its a petrol it does sound somewhat close to a diesel not quite as bad, I took the car to get checked over by local garage and they said it's nothing to worry about.. from a cold start the engine isn't heard from inside the vehicle, once warmed up its significantly louder in cabin, read some posts of engine being faintly heard or even not heard from inside from the octy vrs's anyone put my mind at ease?

Managed to track it back to garage who serviced it and can confirm it's on 5w30 so happy days, cheers lads.

I got it about a month ago an was told it has just been changed, I've drove around 1500miles since and there is an oil leak from breather pipe which I'm waiting on the part to fix it, which is probably why it's nyon limit and is still clear think I'll top it up, I've got 5w30 which is recommended

Got a 07 octy petrol vrs recently bought and just coming near min on dip, I don't know what oil was used previously but it still looks clean, ive bought 5w 30, and a new oil filter, would I be best off draining all current oil or just topping it up? I've been told it doesent matter "too much" when mixing oil as long as it's suitable for the car but wanting a second opinion from you at brisky, cheers.

In regards to you saying water in engine bay, everything seems to be running fine, no knocks or noises, just looks dirty. And that cover looks smart mate! Is it just an Audi one yeah?

Any real benifit of the induction kit if I'm not remapping?

Currently looking at this vrs, not too good with cars and knowledge about them or modifications, but I know this isn't standard, air filter and anything else un-standard?

Just bought a 2007 octy vrs, the button in between drivers and passengers seat is not working but is still illuminated, is this a quick easy fix? Car still locks with key's.
