it is the flange between the the exhaust and inlet as you said but vag don't class that as a clamp and not available the actual turbo is fine just the clamp thanks for help you can see it on second page of w/shop manual to left of turbo

Need some advise if possible just had my Octavia vrs mk2 fl tsi in at skoda as clamp from turbo to exhaust has failed. I had a new engine put in it in august as timing chain tensioner failed costing me £4000 so I thought maybe clamp not been secured properly when refitted. just been told clamp is part of turbo and all one unit and I require a turbo at over £1000 I just wondered if anyone has fitted a aftermarket clamp as turbo is ok just clamp that has failed as I really don't want to spend this money so near to xmas any help would be appreciated.

its in the glove box of car at dealers its been done at dealers on correct mileage everytime

The dealer is under the impression that i should of got it and looking through the history of the problem a lot of people have. This is a clear problem they have recognized a long time ago and should of sorted affected engines. No timing chain should be failing at 55k thats the point in having the chain if they haven't built a engine with properly tested parts i believe this to be there problem they know there is a problem with the tensioner on ccza engines as is well documented on here and other forums.

if thats the case we are saying don't bother paying extra for a full ssh because its not worth paper its written on im a mechanic i can do the work myself if i have to. I saw a post on here a while back concerning the 15d7 campaign but can't find it now

i know they are on the 4th generation of it now i believe the campaign was called 15d7 but may be wrong
