  1. Hi folks, just wondering if there's an update for this unit. Bolero in Octavia III 2013. Other details are included in the pic.
  2. Happened to me as well couple weeks ago, luckily as I just got out of the car and heard the bang it made as it released itself. Parked on the drive which is flat and also left in gear but I hate having an element of doubt in my head that whenever I leave my car the handbrake could release itself. Really shouldn't happen at all.
  3. Looking forward to how you get on as I find quite a difference depending on the road surface. Very noticeable on various sections on a motorway where there is a visible difference in the road surfaces and you can hear the noise change as the car them.
  4. I found an SD lying in a drawer so thought I'd transfer a few albums onto it and see how it turned out. Happy enough that I can get a load of songs onto it but it was only a 4Gb card so I'll need to pick up a larger one for more music. My only gripe which is a bit of a pain in the ass is that when I'm on the track selection screen all my songs look identical. I'm assuming this is down to the order I've got the files tagged and I really can't be bothered going through all my music and redoing it. I must have it in the order of Artist-Album-Track Number-Track Name so for example all the songs on one of my Zac Brown Band albums looks something like this on the screen: Zac Brown Band-You Get What You Gi Zac Brown Band-You Get What You Gi Zac Brown Band-You Get What You Gi etc.. The album title, track number and track name arent shown fully because there isn't enough room on the screen.
  5. That's fantastic, really impressive. Always amazes me at how something so far away gives us heat/burns us etc.. Love the detail you've captured.
  6. I used a T40 which is the largest I had, it fitted but it seemed it wasn't an entirely snug fit and there was a little bit of play. It does work and won't slip or anything but the correct size might be one size up from a T40.
  7. Hi Paden, I moved it towards the rear of the car. Only thing I notice now is the parcel shelf seems to be rattling a bit which is frustrating also. I tried moved the latch forward again to stop the shelf rattling but got the pressure sensation in my ears again. When I get a chance I'll see if I can stop the shelf rattling as I think it'll be easier to sort that having to put up with sore ears.
  8. I had a fiddle with my latch this evening and I'm almost reluctant to write this in case it bites me on the ass, but I've had the most comfortable drive in my car so far in the short time I've had it. I had seen posts with pictures where folks had moved the latch forward to create a secure fit so that there was no boot movement. However, like others I found that when the boot was only closed on the latch and not pushed tight that the pressure symptoms (and those that suffered the boom) would go away. So in a way it didn't make sense that closing the boot really tight would help matters when for me it was best when it wasn't closed properly. My boot had a really good seal and closed very tight and after removing the back panel (I have hatch so estate could be different), sure enough the latch was as far forward as it could go. This evening I loosened the two bolts and moved the latch back a bit hoping this wouldn't create a good as seal giving a similar effect to the boot not being closed properly. If you move it back too far unfortunately it'll sit up higher than the quarter panels at the side so I had to adjust it so that it doesn't look like a defect. I left it so that it's probably about 1mm higher than the quarter panels but it's only noticeable if you drop down to that level and look at it. The downside is the boot doesn't close with a reassuring thunk that it did but to be honest I wouldn't care too much about that as it's a small price to pay for the improvement in driving. I also moved the 2 side adjusters down as opposed to fully up although I'm not sure if that contributed to the help or not. I took it out a good run this evening to my parents and in places where I had the pressure symptoms before I had nothing. Another strange improvement is that often when getting the symptoms I would have to turn the stereo down as I felt it was too boomy or contributing to the effect. No such thing tonight, the music was up and I was actually enjoying it. I'm hoping it's not a whole placebo thing but I genuinely can't see that being the case and I'm looking forward to giving it a run to work in the morning. If that's it sorted I'll be over the moon as I felt it was such a huge downside to what should have been a great car for me and I'm also hoping it'll put and end to the boiled sweet and chewing gum jokes my mates would have come off with for helping their ears. Anyways, I'll see how it goes over the next few days and fingers crossed it'll stay an improvement.
  9. Haha, just seen this and it made me laugh. Was giving my workmate a lift yesterday and he said "That would annoy me", when I asked him what would, he pointed to that very thing.
  10. I get the ear pressure thing as well although I don't have the boom that other folks have issues with, I've also a 1.2 TSI hatch. Skoda told me to call into my dealer and see what they have to but I've never experienced anything like it in over 25 years driving and if I can't get it resolved I'll be getting rid of the car and won't go near a Skoda again. One thing that does help is if you don't close the boot properly so that it just closes on the latch but isn't completely shut, seems to make the problem go away so have a go at adjusting the boot fixings.
  11. Wasn't sure if this was what you were after, I just Googled Radio X and made this from their website. Don't know if it'll be any good to you or not. https://www.dropbox.com/s/avuyiwz5dal2jbi/Radio_X.png?dl=0
  12. Yep, all my logos stayed the same, didn't have to redo any.
  13. Think last week when I done mine I just went into Setup and then pressed Scan and it sorted everything out although took a few mins to go through the various networks. I had been listening to Absolute Radio 80's and I think it changed from Absolute Radio 80's Old to Absolute Radio 80's New.
  14. Hi folks, I recently picked up a 2013 SE hatchback and find the cabin pressure issue incredibly uncomfortable. Never really got it on the test drive but get it frequently on my daily commute now. This is my first experience with Skoda after driving Ford for the last 12 years and never experienced anything like this. Love the interior etc.. but just not sure I can live with the pressure on my ears and making for a very unpleasant drive. Hopefully I'll come across a solution but if not I'll just have to sell the car on look for an alternative. My wife noticed it as well but she seemed to find it disappeared after swallowing but returning later in the drive. Very frustrating as I really like everything about the car otherwise. I didn't get the car through a Skoda dealer but tempted to call in and see what they have to say about it.
