Real world MPG (not indicated)
56PLATEVRS replied to Jamie Geraghty's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Hi, Mk1 VRS BLT engine, standard, generally average trips to/from work, 21miles each way, general nipping here, there and everywhere, fill to fill, several checks, realises 56 - 59 mpg... -
Thanks all, Just tried wiring 'fiddle' then got daughter to operate the door switches whilst giving the door a thump, DOOR OPEN! With past experience of TD5 Land Rover Discovery electric door locks (all 4 doors eventually), I would say that the lock actuator itself will need replacing............. Paul S.

Hi all, Daughter's 04 plate VRS has a problem, the rear n/s door will not unlock. Tried unlocking with the fob several times, lock, unlock, then unlock, unlock, to no avail. This has the rear door lock buttons, but lifting the button will still not allow the door to be opened, inside or outside? Any pointers? Paul S.

Hi all, First topic on here. Thought I had sealed the n/s rear door panel using some foil backed VERY sticky mastic about 40mm wide, yes THOUGHT I had !!!!!! Got into it this evening after work, door cards propped open, scraped out as much of the cr*p foam seal with a bent cheap screwdriver. Wash the join with some IPA, dried off, then applied copious amounts (into the void where the seal used to be) of NAIL AND SEAL by EVOSTIK, can be used in damp or even wet conditions, covered the rest of the apertures where things fasten from the inside, fitted new clips, greased around and into the clip holes, belted the panel back on, now we will see if the blighter still leaks!! This leaking is apparent on both mine (56) and daughters (04) VRS's Will post one way or the other after it rains........... . Paul S.
