  1. Well after being 1 week away from Delivery of a new Superb, we have since bought 2 Kia's for the same price. Turns out this mess has done me a favour
  2. My delivery booked in for 8th of June from NCD....worried it'll be cancelled now.
  3. I've watched the discounts on NCD move between 15% and 20% so if you're patient hopefully the price will drop again
  4. Just heard from Nick at NCD mine should be with the dealer on 2nd June and delivered to me on 8th June (3 weeks earlier than original estimates) meaning it now comes before my 40th birthday  . Ordered 8th March so about 13 weeks in total.
  5. Anyone bought one of these? http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Limousine-original-Skoda-plastic-boot-dish or these? http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-original-Skoda-rubber-mat-over-the-rear-tunnel
  6. Nick from NCD has confirmed I'm MY16. Order 8th March
  7. Will there be any changes to the standard spec of the SE L Exec? Ordered mine a couple of weeks ago
  8. Glad you like the Modus wheels - Initially the Pegasus caught my eye, but swapped as preferred the symmetrical look
  9. Car ordered today  Went for the Business Grey hatch in the end as it looked great in the flesh and didn't manage to find a Cappuccino to see. Really happy with the deal....now the wait SKODA SUPERB HATCHBACK 1.4 TSI 150 SE L Executive 5dr. 10. Car looks great, particularly like the wheels! Enjoy
  11. About to order, thanks for all the advise. Going for the 1.4TSI 150PS ACT manual Estate SE L executive trim. £20,587 Planned extras: Cappucino beige metallic £535 Modus wheels £0 Black Leather seats option £0 Heated rear seats £200 Heated windscreen £300 Park Assist £590 Rear view camera £300 Colour maxi dot trip computer £85 LED Package plus £195 Backrest release £90 4th year warranty £300 So all in £23,200 which I think is a lot of car for the money......now the wait
  12. If I ask for it to be built and registered asap and then the build date starts slipping (sounds like you're all talking from experience!), can I change my instruction to register after 1st Sept? The worse case would be the car gets registered on 15th August when we go on holiday for 2 weeks then we don't get the benefit of having the car early over the summer and also miss out on the 66 plate.
  13. Sound advise people.....family more important than money and number plates. I'll see what the lead time if for the model I'm ordering.
  14. For info I'm ordering a 1.4TSI manual SE L Exec with Modus wheels so I don't think the wait time is as bad as some L&K versions.
  15. About to pull the trigger and order a superb. I can hand my company car back on 8th August and swop to a car allowance, but could hang on to the company car until 8th September. While I can't wait to get my hands on my first Skoda, I thought it's probably sensible to request 1st September delivery so I can get the new plate, better resale etc.... but.......we only have one car and the good lady suddenly realised that if we ordered now, we could have 2 cars for over the summer meaning she can drive the kids about in the summer holiday and not have to borrow the one car. Although we are on holiday for 2 weeks so it'll only be used for 4 weeks. So, what would you do. Be mean, save money and wait for the new plate, or be kind and let the loved ones have extra days out during the school holidays? What hit would I likely take on resale between a 16 and 66 plate if I sold in say 4 years
  16. Nice one. Ordering from them tomorrow....if I can finally decide on the colour
  17. Found your pics, thanks. Modus wheels look good to me. I also like the quartz grey but wife no likey. Also keep flip-flopping between hatch and estate. An extra £800, but not sure how often I'd use the extra space as the hatch is massive to start with! If the choice were saloon boot with estate it would be 100% estate, but with the excellent hatch access and huge loading space I'm 50:50.
  18. Thanks I'll avoid the hill hold then - I think it's a bit misleading to be honest and would have been unhappy if I'd ordered it not realising. Luckily I found this cracking forum and read a couple of posts which made me re think. Stupid question but I assume the colour maxi dot just exactly the same info displayed, just in colour?
  19. Thanks very much for the pics - looks great! I'm been looking at new-car-discount.com and its nearly £5k off and the chap on the phone, Nick, has been really helpful. Thought about the L&K trim as with the discount and offsetting some extras I'm speccing anyway makes sense, but unfortunately you can't have the L&K trim on a 1.4TSI manual!!! :-( You have to have the 2.0TSI with a DSG gearbox - the auto we test drove completely freaked the Mrs out, so thats a no-no :-( Regarding park assist, I have it on my VW Touran now and apart from when showing off to passengers, I've probably only used it 24 times max to parallel park in 4 years (it's awful at reverse parking which is what I mainly do). The difference between front parking sensors and park assist is £240, so that would be £10 per parallel park!
  20. Thanks, will look into camera....is this just used to help reverse parking? Also thinking of rear backrest release from boot. Just been reading that auto hold is standard and think it does what I thought hill hold control did, therefore don't need hill hold?
  21. About to order my first Skoda. Going for the 1.4TSI 150PS ACT manual as generally do short journey and will opt for the SE L executive trim. Just trying to decide on colour. I test drove the hatch in Business Grey and thought it looked great. Also considering the Cappucino beige metallic. Anyone got a Cappucino hatch or estate who could share some pictures? I've seen some showroom pictures online but can't find many examples taken outside. Also any snaps of the modus wheels. Dealer told me there are delays with the Pegasus wheels. Planned extras: Black Leather seats option Heated rear seats Heated windscreen Front Parking sensors Colour maxi dot trip computer Rear window wiper LED Package plus Hill hold control 4th year warranty (is this worth it if I only do 10,000pa?) Interested if anyone has gone for any of the above extras and don't think they were worth it? Any killer extras I'm missing?
