Yes TFSI 2.0L petrol engine. I have found the engine cover is a little loose, but thats not the cause i'm sure - yes if it was the 1.8 I would suspect the 2nd air pump but I'm nt sure if these have it? All i know its properly annoying!

Hi folks, I am having a noisy starting vrs with the 2.0 petrol engine, only really noisy first thing in the morning slightly less once warmed. Basically sounds like an old diesel on cranking prior to all firing up, no engine lights and runs just fine once going - no issue with the starting but just hellishly noisy as in juddery ... Any suggestions would be great. Ta!

CAN gateway - please expan on this, I have just had the unit in the car and it seems to work but no maxidot or sound?

Hi folks! I am about to replace my current MFD2 unit with a MFD3, would this be a straight swap? I have the maxidot and that currently works fine and have also done the tweeks for the centre aux and cd changer earth. Also how easy would it be for me to set up the MFD3 so that my iphone / ipod works with it? many thanks Adam

Was cleaning the cruise control and resetting that associated fault code, so though i'd have a look at the engine codes while connected and found the following - 05699 - 033 12599 - 033 and 01602 - 034 - Electric drive motor (V141) sporadic 002 - lower limit exceeded Any ideas? :S

Very good once they have all warmed up nicely! not so good if you forget to warm them when getting off the motorway in the rain after a few hundred miles without using them!!

:eek: Just renewed rear pads, had to take off both calipers to push pistons back as they were being a reight pain, all back on with OMP pads - bled system...... now have really long brake pedal, so bled again slightly better. Is there a specific order of bleeding, an using pressuised bleeder with resivior so main res has not run dry....... Cheers

Free air subs are POO!!

So I though to myself it would be a good idea to sort out the poo sounding factory fit system in my vrs before going to Le Mans, so far I have - Changed the front speakers to Kenwoods Changed the rear speakers to Pioneers Skined knuckles getting amp cable through bulkhead Changed head unit to a Sony CDX-GT300s with iPod interface Installed a Kenwood KAC-649s 4ch amp for speakers Installed a Sony xplod 2 ch amp for the ...... .... Pioneer 'free air' 25cm sub! Now just waiting for some git to send me a amp wiring kit to hook it all up! Am interested to see what the free air sub is like as it needs no box! Will post pics when finished!
