  1. I tested the 1.2 in both manual and DSG forms, and bought the DSG. It feels as if the two bits of kit (engine and gearbox) are designed to work seemlessly together, whereas the manual involved a lot more work - for overtaking as well as in stop-start traffic. The SEL spec was pretty decent, though I added sat nav (which is not brilliant), SmartLink (which is), heated windscreen and spare tyre. I'd get the same extras again. I would have been tempted by the sunroof but it felt too expensive to justify. I got the Gobi sand interior instead, which really lightens the inside of the car. Paul
  2. But wouldn't that be interesting - to hear the roar of the wind, as well as feeling it? I must admit, I've also been looking at photos of the EV3, and it is making me grin. Paul
  3. Mine too - but I disliked the silver finish so much that I paid to have this done. If I'd kept the silver mirrors I'd probably also have specified the part-silver roof bars. It's strange the different things that each of us hates / can put up with: I hated the Origami alloys on my SEL Outdoor and have swapped for the lower spec Annapurnas. I guess it's just that we all like different toys. Paul
  4. Ordered an Outdoor 1.2 SE L DSG, with some options, on 31 December. Delivered to the dealer yesterday (dealer sent a video of it on the lorry still in its protective wrapping - a nice touch). Collecting it on Friday. Rather better than the "12 to 16 weeks" initially quoted by the dealer. Paul
