BLT hesitation - gasket question
Jamie7 replied to hutchysrs50's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I just went through doing this (11mm on the airbox side) and found that it solved most of the hesitation but still had a tiny tiny bit left. So today I got my local garage to clean the EGR and ASV, and used an additive in the fuel. This improved the hesitation even more... not sure if it is 100% gone just yet as I haven't driven the car enough to tell! -
Thought so, how do you recommend doing it?

Right so I have done my research and have ordered the part to be collected Saturday from a seat dealer. Only think I need advice on now is how do I make the hole 11mm instead of 9mm? Simply with a clamp and a drill or am I being silly?

Haha you got me laughing now!

Sorry to start a new thread regarding this topic as I do know there are a lot of them. However, I would like a bit of advice. I believe the problem I am experiencing is related to this fix, so I thought I'd give it a go as it is not expensive. The website below explain the fix well; http://web.archive.org/web/20120608024435/http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/blt-engine-hesitation-fix/ But the pictures are not working so I am confused as the where the gasket goes and how to fit it. And how do I drill out the hole to be 12mm? Any help would be grateful, Jamie

Thank you for the tip and welcome! Thank you, the car is great fun and feels must more robust than the alfa! I live in a small village just outside of Truro.

Number 52 with me in Cornwall
-
Hi Guys, Been wanting a fabia vrs for a long time and I now have an SE number 52! Got the car today and I am enjoying it very much! Few problems to sort out but has 6 month warranty so hopefully will be done under that. The car has done 72k and is in lovely condition. Previous cars have been a seat ibiza formula sport, lupo GTI (the fabia reminds me of this car a lot!) and alfa romeo mito 1.6TD. Not sure how to upload pictures here? Regards, Jamie
