  1. Ah yes, very good point. Ouch, that's going to hurt the wallet 😭
  2. Hi, My n/s/f shock is leaking and needs replacing (Superb 2017 L&K 2.0tdi). I believe the Bilstein b4 damptronic is a suitable replacement (can't seem to find a stock of the OE Monroe ones). Does anyone know whether I can simply swap these or will the replacement need some form of programming in with VCDS (which ai don't own)? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy Christmas!
  3. Thank you so much. You've saved me a load of hassle. Yeah its an AXR (has 6Y) in the VIN. Not finding a lot data about this particular engine code but it appears most similar to the ATD model. Once again, thanks.
  4. Interestingly pins 49-55 on the ECU are shorting to Earth (Pins 4&5) - ECU definitely had it me thinks :(
  5. Hi, I'm hoping someone can offer me some advice or guidance. Skoda Fabia MK1, 2007, 1.9 TDi (AXR) I am trying trace what I think is a wiring fault with the throttle body actuator motor. Whilst doing a whole load of repairs to the electrics on the car it became apparent that there was a potential ECU fault, however before writing off the ECU I tested the wiring for the various sensors that were recording faults (MAP; MAF; Throttle actuator). I am getting continuity on all the appropriate wires on the MAP and MAF going to ECU/Earth/Fuse. However I am getting stuck on the throttle actuator. The plug has 4 pins (see pics). Pin 1-(brown wire)-continuity to earth; Pin 2-(blue/black)-continuity to connector block behind battery; Pin 3-(blue/red)-continuity to Pin 81 on ECU plug; Pin 4-(red/lilac)- I am not getting any continuity to any of the red/lilac wires on the ECU plug or to earth so I am assuming a break in the wire. I have downloaded the wiring documents available on anther thread here at Briskoda but can't seem to find a diagram that relates to the throttle actuator. Does anyone know where this red/lilac wire should go to? Don't fancy opening up the full loom if I can avoid it! Cheers in advance.
  6. Extra symptoms to the above... Slightly. Higher than normal idle speeds and a humming noise from the engine bay drivers side when engine is turned off - like a vaccuum discharge. Thanks
  7. Hi, My apologies if this is a topic that has already been covered. The car is a 2007 fabia 1.9tdi. Engine management light came on and the turbo dropped out whilst on a long journey. Didn't appear to be in limp mode as I could still do 70,it just took ages to get to it! Once the engine was stopped then restarted, light was off and turbo worked fine... Until next long journey where the same thing occurred. Eventually i was having loss of turbo on short journeys too. OBD scan shows the following fault codes:P0236 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance;P0234 Engine Turbocharger/Supercharger Overboost Condition;P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input;P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem. Car has been to the garage - no mechanical fault found - they couldn't explain these codes. Private mechanic has removed and cleaned turbo and egr. Turbo vanes are moving freely. Air mass meter has been replaced as has the vaccuum control box thing for the turbo. Yet still the problem persists. Turbo works sometimes but then drops out and will not kick in again until the engine is stopped, rested and started again. Other than that car drives well, not jerky, no bad exaust (occasional black smoke on heavy acceleration). Car has been regularly serviced but does do mostly short journeys. My thinking is still bad turbo but mechanically it seems to be ok. Is there a sensor i am missing or is there a fault I've not considered. Your input is greatly appreciated.
