We have just taken delivery of a new A4 and interestingly Audi have changed the function of the boot button on the remote to 2 x clicks. Makes sense really,

It comes without handles as well, either that or someone has been photoshopping a bit on it. That paint looks rough!

Buying my PCH Octavia vrs tdi

Low mileage should be the reason to justify a petrol VRS. High mileage would cost considerably more -

Passat GTE is expected to come in at around £36,000 so outside of my budget. -

I will be getting rid of my Audi for a GTE too. Now they have upspecced it from BW26 I think. So you now get a 6.5" rather than 5.8" screen and car app support. Looks like this but in Carbon Grey. Still miss my yellow vrs though. Just cost too much on a company car scheme. -
UK road tips from Briskodians (wee bit t.i.c.)
Tricky Red replied to Diango's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Police sometimes breathalyse people the next morning so be aware of this - more prevalent around hotels. Double white lines in the centre of a single carriageway = no overtaking. Oh the fun we had last week on the motorway just outside of Eindhoven that they decided to close on a Saturday. 90 mins later we had done a 30 mile detour - nightmare. You guys love a 2 lane motorway don't you. Road quality better than ours but not as good as the Germans. -
Our trip to VW Factory Wolfsburg April 2015

I will try to dig out some more Skoda ones but to be honest their pavilion was a little sparse. A basic Yeti, a Octavia Greenline base spec for Germany and a nice Rapid Sportsback. I was hoping on a new Superb being there but no luck. -

Unfortunately not, as I missed the last one of the day. Did the factory tour though and a couple of test drives -

These are images of a LTD edition Fabia MK3 - custom specification wheels and paint and roof. I will try and get some more images later. -

Hi Following many years of deliberating on whether to go to Wolfsburg to see the VW factory, my mate Rich and I decided that this year would be the one. We would combine it with a trip to watch football, Wolfsburg v Schalke in the Bundesliga. We drove from Mansfield to Dover at 4am on Saturday morning and took the ferry to Calais arriving at 11am. We then drove through France, Belgium and Holland on a road trip, passing places such as Dunkerque, Bruges, Gent, Antwerp and Eindhoven, before passing through the industrial north of Dusseldorf, Essen, Hannover and Schalke before reaching Wolfbsurg at about 7pm Saturday night. In total 717 miles. It is quite unnerving when the satnav says "continue straight on for 197 miles" which is what happened on the A2 autobahn. For those who do not know, Wolfsburg has a complete park dedicated to VAG cars, housed in a place called the AUTOSTADT. Here are a few pictures of the 'Pavillions', museum pieces etc. I will add the Skoda images I took later, but my mate did most of the photography and do not yet have the images

PCH...... the 'new' PCP?
Tricky Red replied to LeeHarrison's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I'm pretty sure the wife's replacement will be on a lease basis over two years. These places have so much buying power that the savings can be passed onto consumers. I looked at a Leon FR 2.0 150 ps diesel for 149 a month and 1500 down. The wifes car has enough equity for a deposit and all the payments. Simple. -
Switching on traffic programmes is appalling - three menus to get to it. Sat nav is not interactive on mine so if you're in a traffic jam, it does not readjust for waiting time etc. Too many buttons, small in the back and no refrigerated glovebox. I won't miss mine too much and am looking for a B8 Passat, MK3 Superb or even a Golf GTE hybrid.
