  1. Hi @RudiRudiRudi, Split charge relay is fine and loads cheaper. Euro 6+ need the expensive stuff. Durite works for me and I just got a kit from Simply Split charge to make life simple. https://www.simplysplitcharge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=109_98 The owner will make up any kit that you want from his set versions. Have a chat about your needs. I ended up with about 7m of Red cable required. Medium duty kit for a 110Ah battery. I added a fuse box but that is only needed if you have multiple feeds/outlets. Easiest to get it all made up for you to save loads of hassle ... Heavy duty crimping and/or a large soldering iron needed otherwise. Comes with simple, easy to follow instructions. No spare wheel - Just a "repair" kit in my Roomster, so easy to just remove the polystyrene and get loads of space for the battery and whatever you need storing. HTH - Have fun...
  2. Still working for me, but tried a couple of VW VINs and only one was found in the database.
  3. : ( Sad day. Keep an eye on us. À bientôt.
  4. This worked last time I tried it .... https://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/skoda
  5. Hi, Just upgraded the passenger seat in my Roomster RV to a Tiguan fold-flat unit Fit Tiguan front seat in a Roomster ... . This is how it looks with the single bed unit. It allows for a kit bag to be available easily when needed. No need for the support strap now - Simply rests on the seat back (don't need the centre armrest either, but I like it anyway . e&oe
  6. Hi, Facelift Roomster 2013 to Flappy Paddle upgrade. Is this possible ? I see Yeti and Fabia of various ages have been fitted. What steering wheel and what extra wiring and VCDS would be needed if anyone knows ? Is this a suitable steering wheel ? https://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/navigations/oem-5e0419091af-cwe-multifunction-steering-wheel/ Hopefully an expert out there will have the knowledge. Pete
  7. Slightly cheaper than Skoda parts dept. but plus postage no doubt. Some Scout panel bits https://www.cc-autodily.cz/search/?count=60&price[priceFrom]=&price[priceTo]=&keyword=ROOMSTER+SCOUT&vp-page=1 Pete
  8. Re: Adding Roof Rails Get a price from the Spares Dept. for supply, and also for supply and fit. They used to do a fixed price deal that was pretty good value - Hopefully they are still doing this. If you go through the Service Dept. they charge much more. Best optional extras that I have found are 1. Heko wind deflectors - Heko Cheap at ~£25 2. RGM rear bumper guard - DirectCarParts - Better than Skoda OEM version 3. Privacy shades - CarShades - SuperSkoda were the best (after Climair.de) but sadly both not available now. 4. Centre armrest (if DSG) - Skoda OEM - Part 3B0 864 209 AC seems to be same as for Golf/Jetta Mk4 - Currently on theBay for cheap Here and Here and others - BUT - I think has different mount adapter : ( Needs Part 5J0864273 Mount as well as different plastic pieces. http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/RO/year/2010/drive_standart/481/hg_ug/863/subcategory/863060/part_id/2545298/lang/e
  9. Don't know who that was for ? Anyway ... Video of my unit
  10. Yes - DAB-Z is much better than supplied apps.
  11. In case it's of use 3.3 Ohm (required for my Roomster) I bought one of those selections of resistors for airbags (£2.65 for 50x up to 3.3 Ohm, or £3.70 for 100x up to 6.8 Ohm) and the nearest supplied that didn't cause a warning light was 3.3 Ohm - This worked for me. The VW specific resistors sold online (£7.50 Yikes!) are 3.3 Ohm. You can get 5x 3.3 Ohm for about £1.50-£1.80 on theBay. + Cancel that dashboard Warning light ... ANDROID - VAGEraseDTCAll App (FREE) works well to cancel Airbag Warning Light with OBD2 adapter. I just folded the legs in a loop for my testing purposes and it worked well - maybe add some solder over the loop, or wires and heatshrink etc. if using for a longer period ...

  13. Couple of extra pix. Outside view of M8 Hex Screw into the Spreader Bar with washer. Inside - Shortened Spreader Bar showing necked in end and washer in place HTH
  14. I just use HEREWeGo for Satnav. Offline maps and POI. Voice guided. Drive mode with speed alerts and static cameras. Top notch simple 3D driving graphics and all for free.
  15. Hi, Yes comes with pressure pad and side airbag, and also normally has the seatbelt socket and associated switch. German seats have the airbag removed, no doubt for safety reasons ! I tend to leave the pressure pad and seatbelt warning switch disconnected as the car doesn't mind this. No need to worry then about changing any different plugs over ...
  16. The Tiguan / Touran seats have approx 10mm wider tracks and different, longer hole pitch, but it is pretty easy to adapt them to fit in a Roomster (and other similar models in the VAG family no doubt). I wanted to fit a Fold Flat seat and chose the 12+ Tiguan version in black Alcantara to complement my Seat Ibiza FR drivers seat. Later Touran seats are the same design as far as I can tell, but are rarer on theBay as they are a more recent change in the Touran line. Earlier Touran seats have a different folding lever/hinge arrangement, but seem to have the same track width. Other older seat under frames are unknown to me. The under seat area is where modifications have to be made. Width of track is reduced by 10mm. Rear holes are repositioned just forward of existing Tiguan holes. + Yellow Airbag Plug needs to be changed to Skoda Roomster fitting - Wires are the same colour on Roomster and Tiguan seats. Solder or crimp, or other method to attach wires ... Do not switch on Ignition while airbag is unplugged or Warning Light will be activated. There is a spreader bar towards the front of the undercarriage that is retained with an M8 Torx T45 headed screw at each end. The spreader needs to be held with an AJ or other suitable spanner on the flatted area in the middle while it is unscrewed at each side. Spreader has to be cut down in length by 10mm. Both ends neck down and then have a flange at the end. The flange has to go ! Before doing this I ran an M8 tap down each end to clear out any residual thread lock (some sort of green stuff) and to ensure the holes were tapped all the way down at each end through the necked portion. I decide to hacksaw off at about 6.5 mm from the end and add a washer or 2 to then get to the exact width for the tracks. Before refitting the spreader the left side track (left hand seat) has to be moved inwards by 10mm approximately. Brute force, ignorance, a large rubber mallet and a large AJ spanner used as a lever on the front support, and similar attention to the rear end does the trick. I could only get the front end to within 3mm of the target width, but when the spreader was re-attached it pulled the front end in perfectly. I re-attached the spreader bar with an M8 type B stainless steel washer on both sides of each side member using an M8 stainless steel cap head hex socket bolt. The original M8 T45 bolts should work, but I don't have a good M45 bit so I changed to SS hex/Allen bolts) Track Holes - The position for the rear hole on the right of the left seat (central tunnel side) is filled with a locating peg. This peg is riveted into position. I used an 8mm drill bit to remove the rivet head, removed the peg, and then through drilled the 8mm hole needed for mounting. Original Roomster bolt in the new hole. The left track (Door side) has a small hole in the correct position just in front of the 10mm Tiguan mounting hole. I drilled this approx. 5mm hole to 8mm for the Roomster bolt. The front holes in each side-track can be used for mounting the new seat. They also seem to be M10 sized and need washers to fit the original Roomster M8 bolts. Roomster floor mounting bolts are M8 with XZN-10mm head, and I reused these for the new seat. XZN sockets vary in quality a lot. FAMEX Brand XZN Sockets are high quality - Other cheaper brands can be very poor, and do not fit correctly in the XZN heads - This can cause damaged heads or keys. Quality XZN sockets are only slightly more expensive and work properly. I have not tried all brands, I just know that these FAMEX work and others may not. Front Roomster bolt with added Type B washer When fitted the new Tiguan seat is a near perfect fit and looks like it could have been made for the Roomster. Folded in position. Fully forward. Upright next to Ibiza FR drivers seat. E&OE
  17. After a couple of poor units from a couple of brands 😞 The Atoto units are great - VW Specific 7 and 8"units, or the 10.1 Universal with a VW Kit and VW FW update. Best screens, and software that works as I expect it to - e.g. Radio keeps playing as I use Navigation SW. Two brands I tried couldn't manage this trick !!
  18. Hi, Silver TSi 2013 FL here. Fitted LED DRLs in the fog-light units and I think that helps. I would definitely fit bright LED bulbs in the sidelights if I didn't have the running lights. Cheap and easy aid to visibility.
  19. Hi, Atoto best on the market that I have found ... The Atoto 10.1" Universal Pro 2U available on Amazon.de is really great. https://www.amazon.de/ATOTO-A6Y2721PRB-Android-Navigation-Stereo/dp/B07BKT13NM?th=1 Fits with a standard VW dash mount adapter - £8 on theBay. Atoto do the VW custom loom with a CANBus decoder for ~£27. Need the VW FW available from Atoto. Need to set Hidden Menu Item for SimpleSoft CANBus Decoder - Hit ModelNo. x4 Password 1617 - CANBus Menu ... Aliexpress other seller CanBus decoder may work better ! ~£12.90 VW-RZ-08 Link - Cable wrong but decoder good. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32949408532.html
  20. Hi, I have a kit for the towbar electrics (13pin version) with an optional box that disables the reversing sensors - PDC Contol - when reversing and trailer attached. Attached PDF page 12 (Manual p22/24) Job done. Roomster-TowKit-DGH-U2-LC-13PinWiring2010plus.pdf
  21. Go through the spares dept. at your local Skoda dealer. Spares quoted me a price for the rails as a part and an all in fitted price (~£212) that I agreed and booked through them. Service dept. fitted them for me as arranged and presented me with a rather bigger bill. I suggested they had the wrong price and they referred back to Spares who confirmed I should only pay the price as quoted and booked. Spares and Parts have quite a few fixed price Buy & Fit deals on things that work out a lot cheaper than the service dept. system of job pricing produces ...
  22. Bump cos these are great seats. I have almost the same seats in my Roomster (Seat Ibiza FR, just the same with different covers) Great upgrade to the seating comfort if you like a bit more bucket type support without being too extreme.
  23. Just to reitterate - Correction 195/60R15 - NOT 65 My speed readings are correct though with the /60s
  24. CORRECTION ! My tyres are 195/60 R15 NOT 65 as previously stated - don't know how I kept repeating the error This is a useful site for tyre comparisons http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator 195/60 vs 185/60 comes in at 2% Sorry for the previous erroneous posts : (
