  1. What a con, I should have stayed with Brentacre and paid a slightly higher premium.
  2. Excess is £250 so not too bad, but looking at the DIY route atm, forget my last Q I've found the part numbers now.
  3. Can anyone tell me if the consoles, wishbones and assembly carrier (subframe) are the same for all Fabia models? Cheers
  4. Thanks for all the opinions guys please keep them coming. Practically everything on the car has been modified, so have things put back to standard is not an option. Insurance policy is with Red Star at Adrian Flux with everything declared, anyone got any experience? Some observations - The spot welds on the strut top/inner wing joint appear to be fully intact, it's opened out maybe 2mm and has split the seam sealer. Most of the impact appears to have been focused on the front wishbone mount, the front part of which is visibly bent down which I think is the subframe. I can't see if the back part of the front mount is part of the console, but it apears to be an alloy block bolted to the underside of the chassis leg. But I'm guessing the most likely cause of the strut top damage would be from the strut itself. I know it's all guesswork atm but just trying to form a plan of attack.
  5. 30ish mph kerb impact, wheel is clearly knackered and appears to have gained a lot of positive camber, wishbone looks straight but realisticly isn't, what I think is the subframe(?) is bent down and maybe the console... Most worrying is the split seam where strut top meets inner wing, maybe just impact shock and nothings bent? I've got a feeling this might be goodbye 12 years NCB but if not I'm guessing the way to go would be to strip, inspect and replace obviously damaged parts. Offer up new subframe and pray everything lines up? :(
  6. Yep love the Maxxis and properly cheap, they started more in the offroad/dirt sector, I thought I'd give them a try as they make my favourite MTB tyres but they're really impressive. Not as much outright grip in the dry as Yokos but then not much does. Kumho KU31s were my previous budget favs but not any more. (I'm running the naughty side of 400lb/ft so they do get a thorough testing)
  7. I won best of class and ten of the best at Edition 38 with them, black wheels are done to death now though IMO, but they will be back with a twist. It's on Bilstein PSS9 coilovers with modded rear platforms to get it a little lower, have thought about ditching the platforms and helper springs to get it properly slammed, but the way I drive will probably result in a smashed sump.
  8. Cheers guys, understandably not to everyones taste but I think it's a perfect summer colour scheme. Simon is yours silver? TBH I though the standard of cars was pretty poor on the whole, wish I'd got there in time for the show n shine....a good day though. James it was actually a Porsche RS badge but it's now gone. LOL Morg Have already started refurbing my other set for something completely different.....
  9. Thought I'd pop by and show you my latest wheels, still OZ Futuras just a different colour....
  10. I had a weichers one but smashed it promptly back off again.
  11. I've had a kit on mine for about 7 months and it's awesome. It spools up so quickly now, max torque comes in at 2400 compared to 2900 with it turned off.
  12. Hey joel good to meet you. I'll scan and upload my printout in a bit, the losses did seem high but the results pretty accurate, I think I had about 60bhp tranny losses. My mate Gareth had something crazy like 130bhp loss with a fwd astravan.
