  1. Ok it's sorted Turns out whoever fit the lambdas into the downpipe put them in the wrong way round, swapped them to match the original downpipe and bang I now have a proper running car, pulls like a train now.
  2. It's the pre cat lambda so I reckon that's faulty
  3. Ok I have scanned it with my cheap generic eBay scanner and I get codes P0030 and P0135 which I am aware are Lambda, is it normal to get these codes after fitting a decat? Or could one of the sensors be no good? I bought the exhaust second hand and was told by the owner it ran fine on his car
  4. Lambdas connected, no snagging in the engine bay, I do hear the turbo a bit more but I wouldn't say it's mega loud
  5. No nothing else changed, got standard recirc on. No dash lights have come on either. Could it be a maf issue?
  6. Hi all I have just fit a 3" Decat downpipe and non resonated centre section, now the car really feels like it's holding back when I accelerate, doesn't have any punch at all It's a 2003 VRS, new NGK plugs, Simota Panel Filter, Newly recalled Coilpacks. What else do I check?
  7. I replaced it and the s pipe and now I get random hesitation when accelerating mainly in third. Could it be MAF? No other symptoms, Rickover and general driving is fine
  8. https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/271139173893 Saw this today on ebay
  9. I got a new front arm from Eurocarparts, including balljoint for £23.70 (Code TX15ZG gave me an extra 15%) Seemed ok, albeit the bolt for the balljoint seems a little long. I plan to poly bush my old arm and do the same on the other side
  10. Ive been looking at the Turborevs Decat downpipe, a Janspeed (i think it was) centre section and then get my local exhaust place to make me up the back box. The Decat tends to be around £75, the centre section was £100 and I reckon even if the backbox is £150 it would be a pretty good system.
  11. Passenger side mirror? Posted? Power steering high pressure pipe?
  12. I've been watching the same exhaust on eBay, I'm in the same boat I reckon my car is worth about £1200 so I refuse to pay out nearly half its value on an exhaust lol
  13. Cheers guys I have found a Mk4 Golf being broke near me, he wants £100 for the box. I would rather keep an original in but i seem to be constantly spending money on it at the minute, only bought it a couple of weeks ago. I will keep an eye on classifieds cheers
  14. Really hard to describe and even harder to record lol. It's a sort of brrrrrrrrrrrrr sound as you accelerate in first, doesn't do it in any other gear, clutch bites good, no judder, all gear changes are spot on but just first gear, almost like something is rubbing. Actually do you remember putting playing cards on the back wheel of a bmx to make it sound like a motorbike? It's like that lol
  15. Ok I'm pretty sure my gearbox on my 03 vRS is shot, get an awful speed increasing sound in first gear, I'm assuming a synchro or something similar. Does anyone know if a box from the other VAG range will fit? Mk4 Golf 1.8t for example? Try to find a vRS box £250 Mk4 box £100 Quite a difference lol
  16. Have you got the original Coilpacks as there is still an available recall on them, mine is a 2003 and is going into Skoda on Thursday to have them replaced. You could also do an N249 bypass
  17. If I want to upgrade my intercooler, what's my options? Will a standa IC from a MK2 2.0 TDi fit my MK1 VRS? I know there would need to be some pipe work needed but has anybody done it?
  18. Oh really? I thought it was the way forward, the oem worth keeping for now then?
  19. Hi all I have seen that Euro Carparts now have a performance section, in that section they advertise a Forge Diverter valve for our cars for £105 which is a bit cheaper than I have seen them for anywhere else. Add to that the following promo code TX15ZG which gives you 15% extra off its a bargain There is no model number but I assume its either an 007 or 008 Ive not ordered mine yet, waiting for payday but could be a bargain.
  20. I know there are a million guides out there and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing but can I just cut the pipe to the top of the fpr and put a y piece in then run a 3rd pipe to the top of the dump valve? Everything I read talks about taking the pipe off the top of the fpr and running another piece to the inlet manifold
  21. Apparently they have to take the genuine ones in as faulty
  22. Wasn't me, the car is eligible for the recall so why not take advantage of it?
  23. Hi all My coil packs are knackered and had it confirmed by my local dealer that I'm eligible for the recall But I'm being told they must have vwag on top else they won't swap them, I don't think mine are genuine so has anyone in Kent got a knackered set?
