Skoda Superb III 4x4 280 - A sleeper’s journey – 280ps to 560ps
U241170 replied to superbtte's topic in Superb Projects
I will "hate" this ADARTH. Because of it, you sell the Superb.... I hate it. ..... Just joking. Still, I am sad to see that you give up this project. On the other hand, maybe there is not much more that you can do to the Superb. -
I switched one year ago from 2014 VRS Tdi (manual) to Superb 190 HP-Tdi (DSG). Both hatch. Overall I don`t fell bad for this change. Superb is more refined drive, but still... sometimes I miss that sporty feeling that VRS was giving. I find the sport suspension very soft on Superb, but I also found out that Superb is sitting better in corners than my previous VRS Tdi (heavy on the front). I never drove DCC Superb... I understood that it is better than simple sport suspension. You might want to try that. I HATE throttle response in case of my Superb.... you can fix that wit pedal box. So, my advice: 1. Get Superb with DCC suspension, or sport suspension and upgrade it. 2. Get and instal pedal box. The result will be a great car.

To have better clearance when they load and unload the cars, and to prevent bouncing on the trailer.... I guess. I dont see other reasons. I went to check my car... to see if I have them removed... -

it's exactly what I appreciate and what I would want into a car. lots and lots of performance with the (almost) standard looks and most important, it is still practical and used as family car. -

my respects. -
I see 280 is not that scary as fuel consumption...

If this was the Superb facelift, I would take it.

looks very good. I would like them even better without AMG logo... but thats just my opinion. ps: I can confirm the problems with plastic bumper parts on Octavias. I had VRS TDI and on left side, where the real exhaust was... the plastic was damaged.

awesome is the word...

This is how Bolero looks like now. Or Amundsen if it has satellite navigation.

Usually I am taking it slow when it is cold... from time to time I go crazy... :) I remembered that a few years ago I have read a material witch was saying something similar. A conclusion was that it may be DSG clutch that is slipping. Can this be possible?... especially when is cold and oil in the gearbox is cold? I imagine that can be something related to pressure building into the gearbox.... I don`t know, I am no specialist.- 9 replies

Hi folks! I drive now, for like 7 months, a Superb 2.0TDI - 190 Hp with DSG. From time to time, when I start from standstill and engine is cold, feels like revving up quite slow.... I experienced this now for 2-3 times, last time this evening. Every time it was colder outside (-3... -5 Celsius), after leaving with the car while engine was cold and I tried to push the throttle a little bit. It goes like... in first gear is revving up slowly, after changes in 2 gear all is fine and goes like a rocket (as rocket as this engine can be... ). Has anyone some experience with something similar? No warning lights are on, or something like that.... It is not the delay of the throttle response... thats something else. It is not traction control kicking in... Thank you.

... and lots of fun cleaning it...

well, you can speed... do whatever you like, no policeman can do you harm. no number plates... must be ghost car. Just kidding, anyway, I don't see something like this every day.

Yeah, I have the same issue with chrome trims on my car. I think is because of salt, since this winter I saw they look really bad. I am thinking to wrap them, instead of painting. Window trims come off quite easily. Grille ones... i don't know.
-
you should make black also window trims and front grille. than it would be complete.

This is why I also switched to Superb from Octavia VRS TDI. But now I don't regret. I don't need really the huge space of the Superb; but it is a nicer place to be in, comparing to Octavia. My current deal will end in mid 2020, so definitely by then the facelift will be on sale. How it will look like, we will see...

I just hope that they will not go in the same direction (design) with the headlights, as they did with Octavia 3 FL...
-
wheels are . are they some new model? have not seen them before.
-
I dont know. My 190 DSG works fine now after approx 5000 km done. At the begining I felt the same way, that is lazy comparing with old VRS tdi -184 HP. The engine loosen up a little bit and I got used to drive it. Always using sport setings, also gearbox I push it all the time in S.
-
Well, I get around 7 l / 100 km (40,35 mpg) from my 190 hp DSG. I don't think 10 l / 100 km is that much... at least not for a 280 hp family car.

add o more guy with a big loaded truck and all is perfect. :))))

height is not changed, only the response... like above said. still, cars equipped with DCC are sitting 10 mm lower than regular suspension; sport suspension (no DCC) is 15 mm lower than regular suspension.
