  1. Can anyone guide me, north west wise (Manc/L'pool kind of areas), to specialist towbar fitting? Ideally I would like detachable as the glorious meteor grey VRs doesn't deserve to be burdened with one full time! Do I need to go main dealer? Will warranty etc still be valid out of main dealer? Completely new world to me this and all help/advice would be very gratefully received. TIA, Scotty
  2. It has the SmartLink option on the screen. Touch it and, at the moment, it says contact dealer.
  3. I thought it was standard too. There's no mention of it you being able to spec up a vRS without it on the Skoda website.
  4. We're all Android now. LG g3 for me. Z4 for Mrs.Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  5. There's no NAV button on head unit at all. I too thought it was a standard feature hence me not asking/confirming at all. So my own fault I guess. Now I'm a little more educated I can see there is no shark fin which I believe is part of the GPS unit for SATNAV. Certainly won't be paying to have a different system put in it and don't think it's upgradeable. Down left hand side of unit is: Radio, Media, Phone, Voice. Down right hand side of unit is: Setup, Sound, Car, Menu. That or seats wasn't a deal breaker really. Mrs had her head (and heart) set on that colour, which looks awesome in the flesh. Found this, pre-reg 65 with under 12 miles, for a price too good to turn down. Going to give my 3 local dealers a call tomorrow to enquire as to how much they charge for SmartLink. Cheapest wins the job!
  6. Collected our (pre-reg 65plate with 11miles) vRS estate in meteor grey yesterday. Genrally pleased but a few little gripes, which were only to be expected as it was pretty poorly advertised by Skoda dealer. No full leather as listed, meaning no heated seats either, so a bit of discount given. Also, bizarrely for a vRS, no sat nav. I know it's not a great system anyway but it would've been nice. I can't seem to be able to spec one without and always thought it was standard. Apparently we can upgrade to the new Kenwood one for 'just' £699! Looking to get SmartLink acitvated instead and just run Google maps through it when necessary. Can SmartLink be done be VCDS or is it dealer only does anyone know? Overall it rides really well, much smotther than I was expecting on the 19" wheels having read comments on here, and returned a decent 57.9mpg on the ride back...slightly lower than it should have been due to a small diversion meaning it got put through some twisties in Oxfordshire ;-) It picks up its behind sharpish and really well, even more so in vRS mode, and 6 speed manual box has lots of range. Cabin noise...more than tolerable especially coming from a 'soccer mom' Zafira. DAB works well, drove it back 245 miles and not one drop out.
  7. vRS estate in meteor grey with black design plus. Lovely little float up from collecting in Hants back to north east yesterday.
  8. The 1050mm on brochure is rear seats to light cluster. Whereas the 1084mm on the hatch is rear seats to slightly past light cluster. Why the difference I do not know. Length wise both are 4659mm. Best get that tape measure out and get a pad and paper ;-)
  9. Thanks Seb. We've just bought a poorly advertised pre-reg vRS estate (picking up at the weekend) and trying to make out the true specs. It's advertised with, and we've been told it has, HBA which means it actually has ILA...I think.
  10. So...to clarify, because I'm a little confused, if a vRS is advertised with HIGH BEAM ASSIT it in fact has the Intelligence Light Assistant 'extra'. I've tried looking through specs, and building from scratch, and I can only have HBA included in ILA and not have it as a separate entity.
  11. My (very limited as we don't collect until Saturday) is my15 was 5.8" screen, my16 is 6.5" screen. Other differences are just software upgrades. We've purchased a mk3 pre-reg (65) vRS estate (meteor grey) and that has the second BOLERO with 6.5" screen.
  12. I like how it adds the colour multi-dot to the party (already knew about sunset glass) because it now has the black+ and not just the black pack.
  13. Thanks very much Nezman. A tad mis-advertised and even more of a bargain. I'll keep that info in my pocket when we collect ;-)
  14. Can anyone confirm if the Xtreme alloys OLNY come as 19"? I ask as we're buying one (pre-reg) that clearly has the Xtreme alloys but is listed as 18" alloys. I don't want to ask in case they decide to add a few quid. TIA, soon-to-be vRS estate, meteor grey owner
