  1. Hopefully they’ll do a warranty job for you, I was about to disregard the noise. Keep us posted.
  2. Got confirmation today that a new steering rack is waiting for me. Booked in for the work on the 9 May. The dealership have been really good - haven’t had to chase anyone and they kept me in the loop. Will update when the work is complete, hopefully with no more creaking - except from my knees ;-)
  3. I sometimes have this issue also. Radio all good, get to destination, shut down, get back in and no radio volume. Only way to get it back in my case is to change radio station (DAB) and the volume comes back. I put it down to a software gremlin in the machine somewhere.
  4. Hi guys, I’m in the process of having a similar low speed creaking noise investigated. Happens when turning during parking and makes a faint creaking sort of noise which is definitely coming from the steering system somewhere. Car went in for initial diagnosis and confirmed that something was up with the steering. Back again for 2 days (thought that they were actually changing the steering rack - as I was led to believe) where “some parts” (undisclosed) had been changed and the noise was still there. Now I’ve been told that the rack needs replacing but authorization from Skoda was required (presumably warranty department) then the steering rack would need to be ordered then car back in for, frankly what I thought was going to be done in the first place. There was never any question that this was warranty work from the dealership and I’ll update here when it’s all done. It was one of those noises that I was going to ignore but since I only had 2 months of warranty left, thought I’d get it checked just Incase - really glad I did.
  5. Had a close shave with a laser speed camera van a couple of months back, was pretty sure I was "under" but would have preferred not to have a few weeks of sweating the NIP. Having read this, I've hard wired in the speed cheetah C550 to keep me "clean". Had it for about a month and it's been fantastic, really small and gives warnings of the normal camera positions as well as safety zones. Removable, easy to store and you can customize it so that it will only alert if you are actually over the local speed limit and there is a camera/safety location, otherwise it just sits there quietly. Since it's hard wired, it comes on with the ignition so I won't forget to turn it on... i know now this post is a bit old but glad I spotted it nosing around. will
  6. I suffered the same frustration with hard wiring a dash cam and as someone earlier said, you need a good quality 12v to USB adapter. I did a bit of searching about the smoothness of the 5v supply and the way the conversion happens is the issue, often a chopped 12v signal giving an average 5v signal out the result is a really noisy supply that knocks out dab. Anyway, long story is that I solved it using a higher wattage rated adapter from Anker - works perfectly with no interference even when charging an iphone at the same time as powering the dash cam. heres the Amazon link Hope it solves your issue - it nearly drove me crazy. 7. Sweet, Hey Jonesy220 you must have nabbed the last slot on Friday as I was told it was full. Lol. I can barely contain myself now, but it could have been a lot longer. yMe, it looks like no sooner are they at the dock then they are loaded on the ship. Here's hoping that yours wings it's way here as quick as mine. I think there's a bit of luck involved for sure. Enjoy your new toys Will
  8. Yes, It's here. Call from Horton today, off to do some paperwork then pick up after the weekend. Super fast from build to arrival at the dealers approx 8 days - must have made the lines for the boat and transporters just at the right time. Soon it'll be playin' time... Will
  9. Hi mate, I'm out towards Grantham, just hoping the car transporter gets a full load to deliver pretty soon.
  10. Woohoo, Just got a call from Horton Skoda, my vRS was built last week and it's already on the dockside at Grimsby. That's far quicker than I was expecting - hope the car is as quick. Will
  11. Hope you are enjoying your new vRS (Timavrs) Got an initial estimate of 10-12 weeks so I'm just at the start of my timeline, hoping it'll come down a bit as there seems to be quite a bit of moving to the left in the timelines for delivery. Hoping to enjoy the summer in it Will
  12. Hi Guys, Stop teasing! I ordered a TSI manual estate vRS in racing blue 2 weeks ago and can't wait to get it. Trying to put the whole thing out of my mind for at least a few weeks, hoping the time goes a bit quicker. Got a couple of extras: leather seats, KESSY, Canton and black pack. This will be my first ever spanking new car. Will
