I'm back again - Octavia number four. After a brief flirtation with an M3 Touring, I have realised my driving abilities were no match for the car and so I am returning to my spiritual home before it either bankrupted me, sent me to prison or outright killed me. This time, I've gone for a Race Blue estate (having previously had a black VRS estate, a red VRS estate and a white VRS saloon). What did I miss?

Hello all! After a brief flirtation with a fun but entirely unpractical Toyota GR Yaris, I am coming back home to the wonderful world of Octavia VRS. This will be my third one, having had a '16 plate white diesel hatchback, a '67 plate red petrol estate and now (or at least in a week's time) a lovely '24 plate black petrol estate. I'll be sad to see the Yaris go but my 2-car experiment (my Yaris for fun, the wife's Kamiq for practical uses) has not worked out as planned and just turned into a pain to manage. Looking forward to seeing what's new.

Hi everyone. I've recently picked up a pre-loved '67 Plate VRS 245 and I can't seem to find out if it's possible to enable the 'chirping' sound when locking and also to have the car lock itself after a set period of time. I used to have these options on my old '16 plate VRS and the options are just not there in the settings menu (CAR > SETTINGS > OPENING AND CLOSING) Is this something that can be enabled with some VCDS wizardry or am I just going to have to live without?

Howdy all. I left you lovely lot back in 2019 when I shopped my beloved diesel Octavia VRS in and went to the dark side with a Jaguar XE. Whilst rear wheel drive luxury was fun, the lack of any space, unusable rear seats and frankly shocking entertainment UI meant I longed for my Skoda. I recently found out I could hand it back to Jaguar and take the equity out of the car which gave me a lovely deposit to use on a second hand, petrol VRS 245 estate in red. I went to give it a once over today, filled in all the paperwork and will hopefully be picking it up next week. It's nice to be back!
