  1. As per my first message. The guy said they were destined for germany. The price is now 19999. With my px they have come up with the sum of 16300. That's with a third year warranty as these only come with two he said. Been to see one in the flesh both look very nice. In rallye green and the black. What would you guys do if you were in my position. Worth a punt or stay away? What you reckon the insurance would say? As it's an import? Thanks guys. G.
  2. Right then spoke to motorpoint and the guy stated all cars are imported (duhhh) said it was destined for germany he thinks.
  3. Hi guys. That's some food for thought. I think I'll give them a call and ask them for definite spec and how the warranty works etc to get a better picture. To me they seem a steal at that price as some used ones are popping up at that price on auto trader. Cheers. G.
  4. Yeah that's true when you put it like that. Yeah I'll drop him a line. See what he can come up with. Cheers again for your time and input.G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  5. Sounds like a good enough service to me. I'm still in the process of debating weather or not to go this route or have one that's been made this year and only a couple of miles on the clock. My heart is now set on a 230 jist because of a few of the differences you get with it. Been looking on auto trader can get a 230 for the price of some new 220s with similar milage on them. If that makes any sense. Sound. Lol. Thanks againG. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  6. Sorry to dig up and old thread. We're you able to select spec on the model using this method? What was the correspondence like with them? Thanks. G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah i get you. I've just found another thread on where someone else has noticed these at motorpoint. Seems the leather seats arnt heated which is minor to some but to me it's part and parcel of the leather package. Might just be me being picky. But you know what you want when forking out some dosh for a car. Criteria I guess. Again thanks for the input sir.G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  8. Nice one mate. Nice to have heard you've see one in the metal. The differing spec from UK models does put me off somewhat. I might jist wait it out until something grabs my attention. G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  9. Okay mate appreciate that. I'll give them a bell and see what they say. I'm thinking it might be worth just buying a UK (non Cypriot import) which may have miles on just so I get the 3 years warranty. I'll keep an eye out for a newish one with few miles on. Thanks G. 10. Hi guys and gals. Has anyone had any experience with motor point. I'm sure I read somewhere they import the cars? Could this be problematic regarding warranty work? They have a few of these with same spec just different colours on their website. https://www.motorpoint.co.uk/vehicleadvert/skoda/octavia%20hatchback/619654 What do we think? Cheers. G. 11. This is fantastic. And reading through previous posts you've answered God you know your stuff. Wish I had the knowledge. Solid work man Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk

  13. Ignore that just clocked that you got dsg. Cheers Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  14. That seems some sound advice. Do you have manual or dsg? Appreciate your input and time. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  15. Is the starter motor thing a common thing? As with the rust surely that'll be rectified by the dealer? Have the dealer offered a good service? Would you also recommend buying a skoda used approved? Or is it all a load bs? Cheers I've tried dsg many moons ago in a friends gold gti. Though only in auto mode not the manual mode (paddles) Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  16. Nice one mate. How do you rate the dsg box? The reasons that I want dsg is that I do alot of town driving and also fancied a change from manual. Thanks. G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi all hope your well. Basically the octavia has recently grabbed my attention especially being in the vrs guise. I have a budget of circa 24k after part ex.need a bigger car as the family is growing. Would be looking at a tsi dsg would prefer a 230 though would happily settle for a 220 both would be a massive power increase from my current car (mazda 3 1.6 sport nav). So the few questions I have are... What problems have you encountered with your tsi vrs? How do you rate it? Does it meet your expectations.? Estate or hatch? I know this is personal taste. How have skoda dealerships dealt with you? Appreciate your time and input. G. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
