  1. Thank you TheRobinK. Followed your method and immediately made a connection. Such a relief. My old brain is slow these days. No need to buy a Jaguar just yet.
  2. Forgot to include vital information, first registered 29th November 2012. Superb L&G 4x4 DSG estate. The Columbus HW-version H70 SW version 4120 Map version 8048. Thanks for your help.
  3. Thanks everyone. I am trying via the Columbus unit. Will now try the dash matrix to see if this is effective. Our phones are Motorola G 3rd Generation. I have looked up compatible phone lists and this model is not listed! Perhaps an upgrades bluetooth module may contain it. The module under the drivers seat could be faulty and out of date. I have read that some of you have upgraded this item. The part number on mine is 3C8 035 730 C The mystery continues. I am reluctant to visit my dealer knowing that he will require mega bucks to sort.
  4. For some unknown reason my bluetooth telephone connection has been lost. I have replaced my phone which synchronises with my laptop, tablet and wife's identical phone but not the Columbus system. Previously it worked. When I go into telephone mode to add a new devise it only shows 'no connected phone', the handbook suggests I should see a New connection button but none is available.Even factory reset of the telephone module, with confirmation window fails to reveal first time telephone setup options. Ignition on/off procedures fail to raise the dead. Any suggestions please? I appreciate the Columbus system is rubbish, for example it is sluggish and the navigation very often has no idea where it is, but up to now the phone worked.VW invested more money in cheat devices than useful driver Interfaces!
  5. Soon after the Nox scandal broke I received two letters, one from Skoda and the other from my local friendly dealer, explaining that my car was one affected but was safe to drive. It also stated a software fix would be undertaken during the first quarter 2016. Mid March I messaged Skoda asking for revised timing. No reply! Yesterday received a new Skoda missive which implies they have not yet got a fix. Presumably the issue is more complicated than first thought or maybe the authorities are being more strict. Anyway I am no further forward in getting my car fixed. Not very happy about this.
  6. Non functioning Led DRLs I understand is a polarity issue. I had the same result last year and the supplier refunded explaining that centre pole is negative not positive as on many older cars. I have since read that the Cree Q5 382 1156 9.5w works a treat. It is a canabus so no errors show up. Plan to order today and hope this info is corfect.
