  1. The Fabia I have with keyless start and DSG took some time getting used to because if I keep the foot on the brake when I put the gear in P the engine usually stops and when I press the button to turn the car off it starts. It is solved by lifting the foot off the brake before pressing the start/stop button.

  3. Car har arrived at the dealer. I get it on tuesday.
  4. I will get my Fabia with ACC in a few weeks. Have tried it in a Golf we have at work, and it is a great option.
  5. I ordered my Fabia this week. Estate Style with 1.2 110HP TSI and DSG. Denim blue metallic. Adaptive Cruise Control, Reverse Camera and KESSY keyless access. Bolero Radio. I think it even has an umbrella under the passenger seat Look forward to having it in a couple of months.
  6. I also have the 1.4 TDI 80hp, and must agree that it is OK. But I think it's a bit too noisy. If I should have boughtit today I would propably have bought the 1.9. I have not tried the 1.9 in a Roomster, but in other VAG cars. Apart from the noise, the 1.9 delivers power over a broader RPM range. I like my Roomster a lot, but the 1.4 TDI is not what I like best about it. The 1.6 diesel used by Citroen, Peugeot, Ford, Mazda and Volvo would be perfect for the Roomster. My son have a Mazda 3 with the 1.6 diesel, and it's a better engine IMHO. Hopefully VAG will deliver a similar engine soon.
  7. Never heard of it. Did you mean Matra-Simca Rancho? I have a normal Roomster, and I prefer the one without the Tupperware.
  8. I looked at an Octavia and ended up with a Roomster. I got it a couple of weeks ago and have seen a few of them around. That might be because Skoda sells quite a few cars in Norway with around 5% of the market.
  9. I have cornering headlamps om my Roomster, and I love them. They follow the road very well in most cases. I also have cornering foglights that light up left or right at slow speed when turning the wheel. Good for manouvering at slow speed. I think it was worth the money, so you should try to borrow one at night to try for yourself.
  10. I ordered one today. It's Cappuccino beige 80hp TDI with Sport seats, 16" wheels, glass roof, Maxi DOT etc. Won't get it until next year. I was actually going to buy a Octavia, but after looking at the Roomster in the store I asked for a test drive. The dealer let me have it during the weekend, and I discovered it was really a nice little car with lots of room.
  11. I will buy the 1.9 with DSG. I used to have a Passat TDI 1.9 110HP and found it to have just about the right power for my needs. I tried the Skoda 105HP DSG last week, and found it quick enough for me. Of course I would have liked the extra power of the 2.0, but for me it's not worth the extra cost (which is quite high in Norway)
  12. I have more or less decided to buy my first Skoda, a Octavia L&K 1.9 TDI DSG. My wife and I are currently trying to decide on the color. We have more or less agreed that the exterior color shall be Flamenco Red og Iceland Green, but we have some doubts about interior color. I like the Ivory color as I think the Onyx is rather dull. I have also noticed that almost every Octavia I see have the dull, dark interior. But I find the Ivory interior looking so much more pleasant in the photos. I would like to have the impression of the ones who have had Ivory interior for a while. Does it still look at pleasant after a few years or does it easily get dirty and hard to keep clean. And have anyone seen Flamenco Red/Ivory combination in RL? BTW, the L&K have Duo Leather/fabric in Norway.
  13. My first car was a 1972 Austin 1300. I bought it in 1978 and kept it until 1985 when I left it at a scapyard in Rome. Didn't like the idea of driving it back to Norway... Since then I have owned a 1985 Citroen BX, 1998 Passat TDI and I currently have a 1998 Xantia. Will buy a Octavia L&K 1.9 TDI DSG soon.
  14. I recently discovered this great Skoda forum, and I have found a lot of useful info. My current car is a Citroen Xantia, but I am about to change soon. My new car will propably be a Octavia TDI 1.9 DSG. I tried it at a dealer last week, and I fell in love with the DSG gear:)
