  1. It is mostly motorways and A roads. I travel up and down the country for my work. No off road or dirt tracks
  2. 122000 miles on the clock now and still going strong. Took delivery on 2nd December 2015 and the biggest issue has been with the tracking (wheel alignment). Needs to be done every time I change the tyres. I manage about 20k on a set of 4. I do rotate them as I prefer to make use of the lot.
  3. 93500 on the clock now. Not bad in two and a half years. Soon we will have to start the Superb 3 "100.000 miles +" post The car has been perfect so far and the only time it has spent at the garage was for servicing. It has also spent 3 weeks at the repair shop when I had to avoid a van on the A66 driving on the opposite side who was in the middle of the road. Only escape was the Armco on my passenger side or a head on.
  4. 4th service just been done and 78000 on the clock now
  5. I fixed this on my car 18 months ago. A tiny dot of clear silicone behind the metal trim before pushing it back in position and it hasn't moved since. Easy and much quicker than taking it back to the dealer.
  6. The rims will fit your car without any problems but the tyre size may be a problem. The rolling circumference on the 235/45/18 on the SEL is 2016.75mm. The rolling circumference on the 205/55/16 is 1905.76mm. The difference between the 2 sizes is 111mm or 5.5%. This means that when your Speedo will indicate 70 mph you will be doing 66.15 mph with the 205/55/16's. If you want more info on tyre and rim sizes have a look at this web page. http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html
  7. Bridgestone Porenza S001 are one of the best premium tyres on the market. I am on my 4th set having done 70000 miles since December 2015 in my SEL 190 estate. I get 20k miles/set and they offer very good grip in the wet and the dry. Noise levels are very good as you can speak normally at any speed without any noise intrusion inside the car.
  8. Hi All, I have just passed the 57000 Miles and service is due in a 1000 miles. The tyres will need to be changed soon again. this will be the 4th set. I can do about 20K with a set and I am rotating them.
  9. I will probably get the same or maybe a Kodiak. It's a company car and the max is 100K miles. So, that would be about June 2018.
  10. I have just gone over the 52000 miles now. She is still as good as ever.
  11. The car gets serviced when the display on the dashboard tells me to. It happens at about 19000 miles interval. As I was in France when it reached the 38000 miles and the service warning came on, I put on an extra 1400 miles to make it back home before the service was done. When I booked the service at Hayselden Skoda in Doncaster, they said that it was not a problem to have some extra miles as it was mostly motorway use.
  12. I took delivery on the 2nd of December last year. It just had the second service done. So far 41730 Miles and nothing has gone wrong.
  13. The fuel consumption is from the maxidot, but it is quite accurate. I do about 750 miles with a tankful and when refiling, I put about 60 litres in. I don't know if the figures stated in their advert are realistic as it seems a little optimistic to me. But the car drives great, as no lag on acceleration and the fuel consumption is very good,
  14. Having done 28500 miles since December, the car has been perfect. It is the manual 190 SEL Estate and it does not rattle and it is certainly not slow at picking up speed, I did fit a little box to improve fuel consumption and it works great. The make is DRAKEBOX MONZA and it is made in Italy. I fitted it in February and it now achieves more or less 54MPG. It is always in sport mode and acceleration for overtaking is great. At 70 MPH, you go down to fifth, put your foot down and it speeds up very, very quickly. While accelerating, there is no tailing off and it keeps on pulling to 5000RPM.
