So it works! I now have a media server in my car for the sum total of £30 plus some bits and pieces I had lying around(microSD card, 12000mAh battery pack and a couple of cables, plus an old hard drive). Kids will be able to stream to their tablets while in the car through the WLAN connection. My concern was that I wouldn't be able to talk from device to device on the WLAN but its all fine. Will write it all up at some point so others can make use of it too!

Yeah - I was playing around with sharing from each iOS device but would be much easier with a Pi, large HDD and the cars WLAN. I have a TP-Link Nano Router that I could use but want to see if its feasible straight through the car first. Thanks - I can't check at the moment but will try myself later today.

So I am looking to build a little media server using Plex and a Raspberry PI. I am hoping that I will be able to use the WLAN in the Superb so that kids ipads etc can stream from the server while we drive through France. My question to you folks is, does anyone know if the WLAN isolates the devices, or can they talk to each other?

Mine was delivered this morning 3 months from order. First drive and the emissions control system light came on and now waiting for a call from the dealer :-(

Delivered today - tiny scratches all over so got to go back to the dealer for a proper polish - agreed by lease company. Now first drive and the Emissions Control System light has come on. Not a great start to life with my first Skoda. Waiting for the dealer to call back :-(

We have this one which we have used on previous cars and will go on the Superb once it arrives. Its a Kamei 510 and is huuuuuge. Opens both sides so no need to stretch over to get stuff in. Yeah - I assume they already had orders in - its coming via Network Leasing rather than a dealer.

Ordered mine on 31st May and been told the Dealer expects it to be with them by the end of June - will see what happens!

Hello, recently ordered my first Skoda - a Suberb SE-L on lease. Delivery due at the end of June apparently. Been lurking on the forum reading up about the car for a while but now got the confirmation of expected delivery date I thought I would sign up. I am coming from a BMW 1-series but need a bigger car as we have sold my wifes Mazda 6 - she has swapped to a Pug 208 GTi so I am going for the family car this time. Super impressed with the specs, pricing and mostly the space in the Superb. At 6'4" I can sit in the back and still have space.
