Nurburgring Insurance
The Nürburgring, simply known as "The Ring" by enthusiasts, and can be classed as a normal road in Germany, or a motorsport race track, depending on whom you speak to. It is open to anyone with a road legal car or motorcycle and also a few euro in their pocket to pay for the road toll. Like all roads or race tracks throughout the world accidents occur, people can be injured and property is damaged.
However, gone are the days when Ring related insurance claims are settled when containing accident statements like; the accident happened on the long and twisty road between Nürburg and Adenau.
Most insurance companies are now fully aware of the Ring and standard automotive and accident insurance policies’ simply do not provide cover whilst driving on this Public tourist toll road, also referred to as the Northloop, Nordschleife or more imaginatively the Green Hell.

Public liability insurance with an insurance policy's coverage of 10,000 euro per accident event
following material damage to the track Nürburgring : (Northloop / Nordschleife section only).
Crash barriers, including tyre barriers
Fences
Road surfaces
Green spaces
Road cleaning caused by leaking liquids
Towing cost (to a maximum of 300 euro)
Personal Accident
Death 30,000 euro
Rescue costs 10,000 euro (air ambulance or special rescue situations)
Subject to acceptance criteria you can take out a policy as long as:
You are aged 23 years or over
You have held a valid full driving licence for at least 3 years
You have a valid national identity card or passport
Your vehicle is registered in a country outside of German
Your vehicle is inspected at an approved garage (additional fees are payable here)
Your driver details are checked out
You do not participate in Racing
This policy is only available via brokers or agents whom Allianz agree to trade with, in the country of Germany and so is subject to German law in all circumstances.
How long does the cover last?
The policy lasts for one day per driver and vehicle for a maximum of 8 laps.
Significant or Unusual Exclusions and Limitations
Your policy contains significant or unusual exclusions and limitations. There may be other exclusions in the policy that are significant to you so please ensure that you read the policy documentation and any other documentation carefully.
You will have to pay the first 300 euro of any claim made for Public liability.
For all other claims you will pay no excess.
What happens if I want to cancel?
You may cancel the policy. There is no refund payable.
How do I notify a claim?
The policy holder reports immediately afterwards the required information to either:-

What is the price of the Policy?
The premium is £99 payable in advance, including local tax. Please note payment via credit card, debt card and the new eRing card are not currently taken. Payment can be made in euro or sterling.
