  1. the inside of the bottom picture . So that interface does not have real mounted chips , but a chip straight on the pcb , and also it seems that everything is integrated , as you can see there is a can interface voltage regulator and bluetooth chip . it reports elm 327 v1.5 as all others and its bluetooth obdII identificated .
  2. Hi forum , can anyone advise me in buying an odb interface ( android ) , as the one i currently have stops after about 2 minutes .............. i can reset communications everytime but it is far from confortable .
  3. I can confirm the app works for DGTE engine with details ; HW: 04L907445G SW: 04L906056HT/6591
  4. Which odb2 to work best with the dpf app ?? i got this one of aliexpress , results , NOT suitable for long term use ( aka it goeswrong after 2 minutes ) . i am now thinking of the viecar white elm dongle which is bt 4.0 . Any better ideas/advice welcome
  5. mind elsawin only goes to 2013 in the versions advertised around the internet as 1996-2019 ( aka dvd version ) . anyone got the real manual ??
  6. But I hit bigger troubles. I'm not sure what the cause was, but on three occasions whislt overtaking large artic lorries in the outside lane, an alarm would sound, the car slowed and some red symbol appeared briefly on dashboard ( I was too busy taking control of the car to notice what it read). Bloody frightening. The sun was setting in the West so I can only guess the shadow of the trucks were causing the system to throw a wobbly. ------ that's your anti collision system indicating you are about to ..................... this system is kicking in every now and then without apparent reason ( i am driving the third car with this option ) . And still it slams the brakes when someone overtakes me , or takes the exit on the motorway ( you should see the reactions of the car behind you ...............priceless ) . i had it re-aligned on my previous octy twice by the dealer and again needless to say ............it did not change a ...k . my 2019 car has despite the new position of the detection unit ( previous 2 cars had it in the under-grille ) the same b..... behaviour .
  7. As we are all in for a good laugh ; the dealer diagnosed my car ………………….( this process took about 5 minutes without driving it and they even did not start the engine ) and as expected could not find any problems ( as was the situation with my 2 previous octy's ) , they have forwarded the problems to skoda ……………….( as they did with all problems before ) . the higher fuel consumption was "normal " as "now your car has become intelligent and more safe to drive " needless to say the behavior is still the same . is there any electronic wizard on the forum who can assist ??
  8. rob , plenty of power to play with . teedeeeye only has 85kw , so you notice every glitch and dsg7 is not the most forgiving box either
  9. the dtc's are not related to this post B121F 15 [008] - Open or Short to Plus ( led mounted but not adapted ) B1220 15 [008] - Open or Short to Plus " " C110B F0 [008] - Limited Visibility ( snow ) U11B8 00 [008] - No Communications ( iPhone connected ) B1630 02 [008] - Signal Failure …... B1366 29 [008] - Signal Implausible ( frozen windscreen )
  10. The dealer squeeged me in for a one hour session next week ( including coffee ) . i wonder what they conclude . scanned my car this afternoon , and only 5 dtc's are present none of them related to engine or gearbox issue's . thanks for all reactions.
  11. got it , the cars spec , gearbox and engine is the same ( even the color ) i get a better economy in the morning ( 06:30 ) , and slightly less in the evening which is due to denser traffic but that is normal . when switching on the acc is see a 6km/ltr decline in economy , and that is becouse of the above mentioned reasons. Hence my question to take the A out of it .
  12. indeed i remember those alarming post on several forum in 2015/16 i can only say the mk3 was slow in response , the mk3fl is SLOWER than that making it an unpleasant drive. i will do some more searching …………..
  13. the my2019 car i have , still has the same issues as the first octy i drove years back , the second one had the same problems …………... maybe skoda is already busy with all men available developing model 5 to be hydrogen ?? for the list price of 44+ k€ i do expect a little more .
  14. full agree on your octy vision . i am currently on no 3 , and the build quality has NOT been improved over the years , NOR have they done anything to improve re-occuring problems . too busy with the all new full electric version 4 ??
  15. pedal box is an option , but wasn't there a way to adapt the settings ?? can any of the programming guru's shine a light on my question
  16. fuel economy is compared my previous 2 cc cars and 250k km , daily route averaged out over many years. Acc care is consuming more ( and the reason is Obvious ) . btw has any ever drive BEHIND an Acc car ?? it drives you mad with the braking lights coming up every 1-2 seconds ( i do drive behind my car twice a week ;- ) ) and indeed it brakes ( sometimes rather strong ) when the car in front takes an exit , OR when you are overtaken by another vehicle which will be measured wrong resulting in the acc going haywire . as a conclusion , Acc is great when driving on an empty german autobahn at 200 kmph in a straight line ( which my octy can not even do ) . ----------------------------- but , that was not the question ………………...can the A be taken out of Acc ( as that radar "thing"is a simple add-on to CC )
  17. fuel cost is cost over cc version !! so acc is not as economic as cc ( that is the dealers selling point !! ) the problem is that the acc switches too frequent ( on dash you can see bright white vs white indicator ) . and it goes into full brake in the middle of the night at a empty high way ......................or when a vehicle overtakes or leaves the motorway ( as i had with the brakeassist on my previous octy ) . clearly vag has used that old design .
  18. yep , they do work very closely together ...................... at this type of high-performance high-spec race-engines ( at 85 kw ) it is always a good thing to put the oil level check in the saturdaymorning routine ( before washing the car and polishing the paintwork )
  19. i am not happy with the ACC , and would like to get back to good-old CC . - acc gives bloody erratic driving experience , AND costs me about 6 km per litre in fuel economy Is there a way to do that ??
  20. oil consumption has gone up to 1/2 litre a week , and that still was "normal " according to my dealer and the skoda representative . i followed myself ( well my car ) several times and could not see any excessive smoke ............. the car went at 175k to the eastern part of europe at a price !! my new car did not even make it to the first oil service without topping up the oil ( 15k km ) !! in 3 months time
  21. is there a way to get the throttle response back to " audi" , or another option to get the instant response back
  22. had my new my2019 octavia estate lhd delivered in december , rattle in both front doors rattle in left side of dash around area of light switch ( lhd car ) rattle in middle of sunroof console rattle in b pillar top where it meets roofliner on both sides rattle at the sides of the sunvisors my previous 2 octavias !! had rattles IN THE SAME SPOTS how about improving ......................
  23. Has anyone more info on the fitting of the red front-door-lights ( not the down lights ) , as my new my2019 has reflectors instead of lights . is there any schamatic available , OR has someone already did it ?? Nitro2
