  1. The only reason I could justify the higher spec was by going for the Greenline so I pay less BIK on emissions, otherwise I'd have had the SE Business also. Should look pretty nice in a hatch version though. Anyway, looking at the MPG, I drove pretty conservatively and within the speed limit (of course!) and for the whole journey including a fair chunk of driving on the M4, I averaged 64mpg in real world figures: This was all done in 'Normal' mode as opposed to 'Eco' or 'Sport'. Real-time stats whilst I was on the motorway were anything between 62 to upwards of 75 and obviously a lot less when pushing it up hill. Cruised along quite nicely at 30mph in 4th gear and didn't feel laboured or low on revs, some change-down required going up hill if you need to accelerate though, but this was the case with my Qashqai before as well.
  2. It's been through a crazy week of wind/snow/sleet and rain this week, so not the cleanest, but I've got some pictures to give you some idea: I'll be heading out to Bristol tomorrow, so will try and relay some MPG figures on the motorway. Gearing wise, you should be good for 4th around a 30, but again, I'll do a more thorough test of this tomorrow and let you know.
  3. It just so happens I took delivery of a 1.6 GL last week. Had a 1.5dci Nissan Qashqai before, so wasn't looking for blistering pace either. I've been on a couple of long runs to the midlands and back so can report it's a great cruiser on long journeys and quieter than I thought it would be. Things to note: - It's a little long in the first couple of gears, but mid-range is pretty decent. - You have to think ahead a little before overtaking, but it's perfectly capable. I understand the suspension is lowered from the standard model to reduce drag coefficient, but the suspension doesn't seem overly firm because of this. There's also a larger gloss black rear spoiler, again, for drag reduction I'd imagine, but if anything, it gives it a sleeker look. I'll try and post pics later when I can, but let me know if you want any more details.
  4. Hi everyone! Would just like to say hi as a first-time Skoda owner, having viewed this forum before on a number of occasions, I've decided to pop my head up and join in.
