I have a 2.0 tfsi Octavia VRS petrol, when you start the engine it's makes a rattle noise , also when you pull away there is a judder when finding the biting point, it almost wants to stall. The car has done 105k and I believe it's the original clutch and flywheel? Any advice appreciated .

Finally got around to installing my Amundsen + after 3 months of it all sitting in cupboard! All went surprisingly well, only issue I have is, the analogue aerila on the amdinden has a double white aerial socket, however as my car is a mk2 octy, it has the single white plug on the end of the car aerial . Can someone point me in the right direction of the adapter that I need?

What a pi$$ take that they charge £40 more for a Different colour!

Thanks guys, I definitely want it to be the silver version so it matches everything , my ocd couldn't cope knowing that it isn't the correct colour ! Yes I have climatronic as well, which is awesome .

Sorry to dig up an old thread , but I am shortly going to be retrofitting an Amundsen+ into my 06 pre f/l Octavia vrs, it has the stream stereo, so I understand I need to get a new silver fascia trim . Rainbow fire posted a pic of the one I need further back in this thread, it was mentioned that it cost about £6? I went into TPS today and gave them part no 1z0858069r2au, they said that it was £55 and if ordered it and it was wrong I couldn't return as its not something they want on the shelf. Can anyone confirm if this is the correct part and price before I shell out? thanks

I think I will do just that, would prefer having it there than having to route all the way to the back. Thanks again for all of your advice, I know I keep banging on with silly questions, but its good to have the install clear in my head before I start pulling the interior apart.

Great stuff, I contacted the guy and he 'fessed up' that the black plastic broke off when he was removing the aerial! Just would have been nice if he had mentioned that in the ebay ad!I I was starting to have doubts about installing this, but guess I will still perservere! Got the gateway in the post, got a GPS aerial already and need to get a DAB aerial and Bluetooth lead and mic.

Thanks rainbow , mine is an estate , definitely don't want to be fouling the airbags, I thought that maybe I could stick it on the front screen , but that might look a bit naff!

Just received an RNS 315 from eBay and the black plastic shroud that goes around the dab plug on the back of the stereo is missing , will this effect how the aerial locks into the back of the stereo? Not impressed as he didn't state that this was missing . Not sure how to add a pic from my iPhone ?

If you Want to sell your spare loom, let me know. I have found a gateway on eBay for about £40 so happy with that , just need to source the other items . So with your dab aerial, did you run the lead up the a pillar and then across the headlining and then stick the aerial on the outside of the windscreen at the top in the middle?

Cheers Rainbow, thanks for clarifying what well and won't show on the headunit display, I don't have maxi dot or mfsw. Do you think the cheap Chinese Bluetooth mic's and looms are ok ? Do I definitely need to change my canbus gateway as I read on Ross tech that sometimes you can just recode to avoid battery drain?
