  1. iV80 driver me. Just returned from round trip Wiltshire - Perth 900 miles all motorway or dual carriageway. Mostly stuck to 65 mph, occasional excursions at higher speeds to clear bunches of trundlers. Daytime journey with outside temperatures ranging 11-21 degC, A/C on and temperature set 20 degC. Efficiency overall was 4.2 mpkWh. Two stops each way for charging and found like most, that you've really got to bolt the coffee if you are to disconnect and proceed! Unbelievably convenient fast chargers at Stafford and Gretna Green. Return journey started at 80% charge, arriving home with 40%. Journey times around 10 hours each way and not much different from those in Octavia and Superb diesels driven many times previously tbh . April's other longer journey Wiltshire - Cornwall returned around 3.8-3.9 mpkWh this year. After 15 months since ordering, the car arrived January and I am delighted with the range which consistently exceeds 340 miles this June weather weather and 310 Feb - March. Enyaq iV80 well recommended for your needs!
  2. Have had my mk2 cr 170 Elegance Estate for 2 years. 40k mixed mikes. Fabulous drive for this 70 year but had the same difficulty with front tyre circumferential splitting at inner edge which caught me out with a failed MoT last year. Tyres were premium Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance and had only managed 8k miles before failing. Talked the problem over with local taxi driving lads and trusted tyre agents (no knowledge of the issue at local Skoda main dealer claimed). Decided on structured improvement programme. 4-wheel alignment revealed one rear wheel slightly out of spec. Marginal adjustments made to in spec. wheels to reduce inner edge wear. Tyres replaced with 225/45/18 w XL. Insurance company content as this was for reasons of safety improvement. Pressures increased to 34 psi all round. Comfort improved significantly with no noticeable effect on performance. Presently mileage 20k with estimated 5k more to come on fronts. Downside is cost of the new tyres at more than £150 per corner, up by 40%. Will look for mid-range tyre next time. Maybe Falken? Tyre pressures are very sensitive to ambient temperature. 32 psi in Summer can easily subside to 29 psi in U.K. Winter and it is here that these troubles get magnified very quickly imo! I think I'm on the right track. This car is worth the effort!
