  1. Confirmed. And it's not an easy folder to just copy in. Other than being 426meg in size, there is specific information in a sqlite database and a few binary files that are probably linked to the new content. Fingers crossed they realise (as no one in ROW can use it) and they fix it.
  2. Follow the steps you’ve been using to format the card. Place the downloaded zip file into a new folder on your hard drive. Double click the zip file to unzip it. Copy all the files in the folder, except the zip file, to the SD card. Open Terminal (inside the Utilities folder). If the name of the SD card is UNTITLED, type: dot_clean /Volumes/UNTITLED If the name of the card is different, then replace UNTITLED with the name of the card. Make sure the name of the card has no spaces in it. After typing the command, press the return key. The command will take a second to run. Eject the card and pop it in the car, following the usual update process. No need to download any applications or try and delete invisible files.
  3. Nothing over the top. A nice match of the car to the tagline.
  4. Lava Blue can get a real purple colour to it when the sun gets low in the sky. It's hard to catch.
  5. ...with your keys still in them. Yes, 10 minutes before the wash cycle ended I realised my key was still in my jeans. The ones in the washer. It's a KESSY key. I retrieved it in one piece and it actually worked first press. I opened up the case (what a pain that is until you learn the trick), and took out the battery then left the key to dry. Once dry I put a new battery in and the key seems to behave as if nothing happened. The inside of the key looked like it was cased in plastic, but I didn't take it fully apart to see the other side. Has anyone else had the dreaded Key in the Wash happen to them? Did your key live?
  6. I too had the front passenger side wheel bearing replaced (just today). 3,500 kilometres on the odometer. It made an awful growling noise between 50 and 80kph, and could be felt through the steering and pedals. All under warranty.
  7. Just part of production. I have them too. http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f150/superb-purchase-experience-112819-10.html#post1205599
  8. Over the pond we have a different sort of dirt. :-)
  9. Time to add myself in. 206 TSI with sunroof, beige trim, 4x4, and all the Aussie fruit that is available. Overcast day so the blue looks very dark.
  10. Is there such a beastie as a Service Manual available? I'd like to see how to remove the plastic honeycomb in the lower front bumper. The bugs on the air conditioning condenser need removal.
  11. oddvaoes, those wheels are sexy. What size and name are they?
  12. The Owners Manual is a place of wonderful information. I have been reading the PDF version of the manual in preparation of taking delivery of my big blue box. Keeping the paint looking new is something I like to do so it's good to see that wax can be used. Page 176 of the PDF Owners Manual Vehicle Component : Paint Facts of the Matter : No water droplets form on the paint Remedy : Use hard wax (min. twice a year), apply wax to clean and dry body But some cleaning products can be nasty nasty things so it's good to see this warning on the following page. Page 177 CAUTION Vehicle paint - Do not treat painted parts with or hard waxes. This seeming dichotomy had me confused. Then I figured it out. I can't use hard wax on any painted surface of the car BUT I can use it on *my* clean and dry body. :-) And at a minimum of twice a year too! Day Spa here I come.
  13. Ordered my wagon in April and the cargo ship has now hit Aussie waters. It should land around 28th August. After that it's one to three weeks before I see it.
  14. Interesting. Mine was apparently ordered on 12 April yet was flagged as a week 32 build.
  15. I know that people were getting the MY17 build from week 22. Does anyone know when the factory summer break was? Or is it still on and they are yet to return?
  16. It starts build week 32 and has the 10 colour LED and the frameless rearview mirror, just not the pressure washer for the camera.
  17. The Dealer I am buying through has informed me the MY17 models sold in Australia don't get the rear camera washer. I guess that means the wiper and the washer aren't tied together in the system.
  18. maffyou and Superb170 - I noticed the colour options a little while ago and posted about it on another site. http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f150/next-gen-superb-17-2-15-a-103346-18.html#post1181078 It seems Skoda Australia are trying to keep the brand small here. Even New Zealand gets more colours and options than we do. If you'd like to have a giggle, I posted up a story about my purchasing experience. http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f150/superb-purchase-experience-112819.html
  19. It's interesting to read about "restrictions" and model choices around the world. Beige has always been an option here in Australia and we only have one trim level - Style. http://cc-sea-cloud.skoda-auto.com/aus/aus/en-au As far as I know there isn't a problem with the beige interior colour. I also note that the smallest rim we are offered is the 18 inch variety. Then again, we only have three engine choices with one gearbox. Try out our configurator (link above) and see what I mean.
  20. A huge lead time. I'm quite sure I'll like the reward at the end though. :-)
  21. All the way from Sydney, Australia. Soon to be new Superb owner. It's interesting to see just how different the vehicle options are from place to place, ranging from colours to trim and "packs". I've joined to get a better feel for the car and to keep me interested through the 6 to 7 month delivery time. There's another forum in Australia that I belong to and I wrote a little story about my research and purchase experience. Have a read and see how it compares to your experiences. http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f150/superb-purchase-experience-112819.html
