I tried, but the area is not covered by CCTV. They are looking at footage to see if they can see a damaged car leaving the area but we don't know the exact time and silver is a very common colour these days. We are putting our energy into fixing the car and getting it back on the road but will keep trying to find the culprit.

We are me and my 18 year old son. Nobody was driving his car, it was parked in the car park at his college, no witnesses identified. The other car was silver judging by the paint scrapes.

Hi all. As said, we picked up a lovely 55 plate VRS on Saturday, son loves it of course. However, first day driving it to college and someone has driven into it! Summary of damage, impact to driver's side front corner. I have removed the front bumper to get a proper look:- 1 Front bumper dented. I have pushed out the dent but the plastic is split. Looks like it needs a replacement one. 2 Front off side wing dented and pushed into the headlight. Replacement wing needed. 3 Headlight pushed back into the aperture, plastic tabs broken where it bolts in place. Replacement headlight needed. 4 Intercooler broken where the wing was pushed in. Top bracket and side mounting bracket snapped off, looks like a replacement one is needed. 5 Intercooler duct pushed back, may be recoverable or may need replacing We have not (yet) notified the insurance company as it was on private land and I suspect they will sting him even though it was not his fault. I'm thinking of either doing it myself or getting some used parts and seeing if a local body shop will sort it. I would appreciate any advice and especially tips on access to the parts so we can price up the repair and make a decision. Needless to say he is gutted. Thanks Simon

Hi to all here. My name is Simon and I have joined this forum as my Son has just bought a 55 plate Fabia VRS. It's a fantastic car, quick and well cared for by the previous owner. BUT..... someone drove into him in his college car park today and mashed a front corner so I will be straight in with a few questions to get it back on the road. Kids!
