  1. New or used part? Sounds like the switch for lock cylinder has failed.....
  2. Am just south of Worcester. So a bit far away from Leeds. You can get VCDS - if you have other VAG cars in your family it's a good investment to get the genuine HEX+CAN. It's under 300 quid and you can do pretty much everything a dealer can.
  3. Mind you that the ebay cable will only work with VCDS lite - which you can download from website above. This can only do a few functions unless you register it for 99 USD. Where are you based? I have full VCDS and VCP and can program fobs and key transponders.
  4. I assume they supplied correct key fob with correct frequency? I retrofitted OEM fobs and capable CCM to my mates Golf mk4 and they changed frequency from 433 to 434MHz. This was changed on MY2002 or 03 iirc.
  5. Suggests that sensor itself has gone or the wiring to the sensor. Don't have a wiring diagram for Skodas but you should be able to find out which is GND, you seem to know which is 5V and the third will be the signal. Using an LED with appropriate resistor in line you can do an easy check to see if it's the sensor itself or the wiring. Also does VCDS spit out any errors?
