  1. I've got a Fabia Estate SEL, it's in energy blue which looks brilliant imho. Keep it polished and clean and it really stands out. The armrest, I love it but it's a pain getting the seatbelt on. I went for hill hold as I'm lazy! Also, I went for sports suspension and it makes the car more comfortable at the rear. My previous Fabia was much harsher on the back of the car. Also, body roll is much better controlled and the car changes direction a lot better too. It's a small outlay but well worth it. I've also got the leather sports wheel, it's beautiful to look at and much nicer to hold. All those options are not much money, but make the car much nicer. It's a great little estate car.
  2. I had that on my 2016 Fabia 1.2 tsi. Dealer replaced loads of parts in the box, and it still did it. Started playing up around 15000 miles. It's a known issue.
  3. I'm dubious about this switch to 0w20 in an engine designed to run on 5w30. I notice both my Skodas are really noisy first cold start, both have 0w20 oil and both engines sound knackered for about 2 to 3 seconds.
  4. Oh no, men in lycra.....please dont associate my beautiful cars with that! 😂
  5. Maybe you should have searched on Google, lots of photos and it's a colour that changes drastically depending on the light. I love it on a bright summer's day, its gets a bit drab when the light fades. Mine looks especially nice parked next to my toxic kiwi green Citigo!
  6. Yes I do, just dont like dull colours on cars at all.
  7. Mines the same, as was my previous Fabia. It's not the nicest gearbox at all, in fact my Citigo has a much nicer change.
  8. I bought mine in Energy blue, simply because it was to me the nicest colour they did. It's a proper colour, not grey, silver, black or other such nonsense. Cant believe you chose it without seeing it first though, think of it as a retro 70s colour which is what it is!
  9. I just think it's going to create a lot of body issues in a short period of time. I intend to keep the Citigo, hope it doesn't rust away. Guess foams cheaper than a proper moulding.
  10. Fair enough, but whatever it is...its soaking up water like a sponge and its next to metal. Bearing in mind the rust on mk5 Golfs etc in front wings, caused by the samd stuff I think it's a big concern. My 16 plate Fabia had plastic, my 18 plate Ibiza had polystyrene and now its foam! Interestingly, while the Fabia foam is soft all the way down, the Citigos is hard just at the very bottom.
  11. I've a Fabia 3 and a Citigo, both cars have a long piece of foam in front of the door which sits between the A post and wing. Its constantly soaking wet with all this rain, if I prod it water oozes out like a sponge. I dont remember my last Fabia having this or indeed my 2012 Citigo. Surely this is a huge cause of rust in future. Any ideas, from people in the know? Can I remove it, they'll be a big gap if I do. Just seems like a cheapo bodge from VAG.
  12. Have you used rainex or similar? Have found the modern flat blades judder badly when using it.

    Gear knobs

Cheers, was just going to re use my original gaitor.
  14. Does anyone know if the facelift cars can use the earlier gear knobs? Only I fancy one from a SEAT Mii, but it's an accessory for earlier cars.
  15. I've bought a Citigo from Richmond....car was delivered with a dent in the roof, fallout all over the car which took some removing and no air pump in the tyre repair kit. Yes, they fixed the dent and got someone to hand deliver the pump. But, not a great start for the new owners. This was a brand new car and I just feel that the management don't care. Sales staff as before are superb. Think I'll be going elsewhere for servicing!
  16. I had a wheel glove on my first Citigo, it just didn't look right. I went in to buy an SE but non available whilst dealers offer was on. I went to walk out, they showed me the green snot car and I fell for it! When I got mine, only cars left were stock items as no factory orders. A mate tried another dealer for an SEL, he ended up with a colour edition too.
  17. My colour edition has Skodas plastic steering wheel, it's a nice shape but quite bland. Is there anything you can buy to dress it up a bit? I found something online for a plastic octavia wheel of the same era, 2019. Are the steering wheels the same size?
  18. Erm, no just an apology. I bought a Fabia from them too, part of the rubber seal around the inside of the window frame was hanging off! Obviously they have blind people doing Pdi work. Will go elsewhere for servicing and any other work.
  19. All fixed today, they got a dent removal guy in with 24 years experience. He pushed it out from inside in less than 5 minutes, top bloke. Went in through side of headlining.
  20. Cheers, I shall be asking the dealer about how they will fix it. First Skoda I've bought with an issue, so quite calm about it!
  21. Picked up my brand new car yesterday, gave it a once over at the dealers but later in the day spotted an annoying dent in the roof. Bit peed off that it wasn't spotted before the handover, obviously I've told them today. Question is, I wonder what they can do as I don't want it filled etc.
  22. That's low mileage! I did 25000 in my S and over 40000 in the Monte. No issues with either, such a shame they've stopped production of ones with engines now.
  23. I've just put a deposit on a Citigo, a colour edition that I saw today. My third, first was an S when they first came out followed by a Monte Carlo. Went in to get an SE but they had the Colour Edition which had just arrived and I fell for it!
  24. I do that, every car I've had I wait for the lights to go out 😁
  25. My issue isn't the noise, that's normal. I've narrowed it down to hot weather only, it fires up but very low revs and the engine is running extremely lumpy. After a second or two, revs pick up and idle is fine.
