  1. Hi took inlet manifold and injectors off and cleaned out inlet valves and the guides all with excessive carbon on them took a full day on Saturday, now drives like new.
  2. Hi looks like a valve stem seal on number 4 exhaust side viewed the build up on and behind the valve head with a boro scope, owe well.
  3. Hi made plate blanked off the pipe work for the PCV and the same thing happened about 100 miles on, as above number 4 covered in oil. rac been out twice and just want to change coil pack, not excessively using oil though!
  4. 2010 occty VRS noise on engine during retardation, fine when accelerating. But plug number four keeps oiling up and misfires changed PCV still the same, any help much appreciated. No faults only when it misfires due to oil build up on plug 4. i'll probably make a blanking plate to remove pcv but noise will still be there.
  5. Hi I have a problem with my clutch as i tried to bleed the system as its been gradually worse to change gear, I now find myself with no clutch pedal at all, bled perfectly until i tried the pedal and it just hits the floor. There are no leaks anywhere in the system, had the brakes done last year just before i purchased, so do not know if it is from that, so with i assume an enclosed slave cylinder how do i get the pedal back or do i just carryout a complete re bleeding of the system.
  6. I have had similar problem and found that when I changed the breather on the side of the head (which is supposed to be a none return valve from the intake) due to it not working. Another sign is an oil smell now and again when driving, it is found under the air filter cover and there is a revision update (part number 06F129101N £30 at TPS) Outcome no smell when driving and no cream on filler cap and oil consumption has gone down.
  7. Can you alter from fixed to variable service without plugging in to the car like the mk1 vrs.
  8. Hi it can also be a tyre out of shape, I have had this one baffled um for weeks m8.
  9. Guys had one from euro parts and is absolutely fine (over a year)a vr6 complete, a really good buy.
  10. were does the switch relay hide inder the bonnet.
  11. Changed clutch yesterday in VRS, during found the dmf was no good so replced the whole clutch assembley with a VR6 equivalent but must have moved the selectors when or during replaceing the gear linkage. does anyone know which of the lingage I would have upset just this prevent removal of items to see, thanks.
  12. Can anyone advise or send me a DIY for a clutch change for a VRS please, thanks. Clutch slipping slightly in high gears just started.
  13. I agree with dannyboy but one other main possibility for excessive tyre wear on one side is brake drag.
  14. Were the fuel line goes down the inner wing I believe i have a fuel slight leak, would like to know how the fuel pipes are joined and how to remove the plastic cover/shroud. Can anyone supply a schematic diagram of the fuel lines in the engine bay please.
  15. There is a rear brake cylinder kit which they do not want you to buy for around £10-15, If reqiured I can find out the number. Let me know m8.
