  1. I also have an issue with my start button which has steadily got worse over the last couple of months. Sometime I need to press the button several times to get it to start/stop. Mines a 16plate with 46,000 miles on the clock which I’ve had from new. Fortunately I have an extended warranty so took in into my local dealer who have said they will replace the button. Just waiting for them to confirm this morning when the parts will be in. However they did say to ensure I take both sets of keys in as they will need to recode them. As a result I expect that it could be quite costly if not under warranty.
  2. Good to hear the feedback, I’ll be giving them a go I reckon. Thanks
  3. With a baby on the way shortly can anyone recommend any good fitted sun blinds for the rear windows? From what I can see VAG are yet to supply their sun blinds for the mk lll superb and unsure what the quality would be like from one of the other online aftermarket retailers ie Car Shades, Privacy Shades, etc. Previosuly had the VAG ones for an A4 and they were spot on so annoyed I can’t find the same for my Superb. Much appreciated
  4. I had this issue investigated by my local dealership. Surprise surprise nothing could be found. I spoke with Skoda UK who logged the problem but then stated that they would require several owners to notify them of the problem before they would escalate it for review. Obviously Skoda would not go to the expense of reissuing improved design keyfobs which do not raise the boot button above any of the other buttons but I would accept a simple solution whereby the boot only opens when the keyfob is depressed with a few meters of the vehicle, i.e. within view. There is no reason for the boot to be opened from such a great distance. I do think that this is a security issue and as owners we shouldn't simply accept not being able to put our car key in a pocket. As I see it this makes this item not fit for purpose!
  5. Excellent question! I will check later today.
  6. Yeah I would have expected them to park as well.
  7. No the wipers do not work at all. I can't drive off in the rain as they are stuck in the vertical position!
  8. Has anyone else had issue with the front windscreen wipers getting stuck in the vertical position when turning the ignition off and not wanting to carry on working when restarting the car? This has now happened on two occasions and only after several minutes of restarting and meddling with the wiper stork have the wipers actually started to work again - although I can't figure out exactly what I have done to get them operational again! This is somewhat inconvenient although at least that only stop working when you have stopped to turn the ignition off rather than when your driving down the motorway at 70 mph! I've been into the dealership and surprisingly they are unable to identity anything wrong! Thanks
  9. Will check tomorrow if my ios 10.2 update helps. Fingers crossed!
  10. Anyone else had issues with Bluetooth disconnecting since upgrading their iPhone to ios10.1.1? Everytime without fail I will make a call only for the Bluetooth to drop out after a couple of minutes. Never had this issue prior to the upgrade so assume it must be a software thing. Thanks
  11. Had the same problem on a number of cars including a seat exeo. Took my two month old superb to have a little bodywork done and questioned their technician about the few water marks that had started to appear on the chrome window trim near the drivers wing mirror. He confirmed that it is some of the chemicals used (normally at the hand car wash places where they spray the cars prior to washing them) which attacks the plastic coated chrome strips. He told me to get some polish ASAP (used the autoglym one supplied with the life's one product) and gently polish off. Worked a treat although I imagine that done on a few occasions over time the polish might tarnish the plastic chrome strip itself!
  12. Hi All Just waiting to pick up a nearly new 2016 SE L Exec combi. Unfortunately it comes with the inflation kit rather than a space saver. Hoping to source a suitable space saver to suit the standard 18" alloys. Any idea what part code this should be. Other previous topics seem to refer to 16" wheels. Also am I correct in thinking that the wheel differs between ll and lll models? Cheers
