since the speed control does just that, regardless of accelerator setting, It sounds more like marketing bullsh*t to me. Surely, all the cruise needs to do is send a full accelerator signal to the car and let the speed limiter control the speed? make the brake pedal disable the limiter and stop sending the signal and thats all the cruise control does isn't it?

seems its very either/or for me. sometimes the phone just connects/disconnects/connects so i end up unplugging it. Other times it connects fine. Apple maps seems reliable as does apple music, but Spotify is inconsistent, sometimes it responds to the head unit, other times you have to start it playing on the phone, the screen comes up on the dash, you select a song but it wont play.... very frustrating....

DSG makes a big improvement to 90bhp performance - 7 versus 5 gears, so lower 1st for better acceleration and higher 7th for better mpg on the mway. Keep it below 3K and its very frugal.

The Jag was surprisingly good - 42-45 mpg NOT being driven for economy - mind you an 8 speed box that meant Motorway speeds were well under 2,000rpm didn't hurt ! I got the Fabia on the new PCP deal at 139 deposit and 139 per month so I swapped my car and got the wife a mini for less than the Jag was costing. Its quiet, pretty nippy and is more practical than the Jag being a hatchback.

Howdy, I'm Paul, now the proud owner of a new 1.2Tsi Fabia. Distinctly sensible choice after having a 3.0ltr Jag XF for the last 3 years but finding the Fabia is far less of a step down than I feared. This changing gear lark is a bit tedious but the CarPlay gizmo is very cool and I wish other manufacturers would learn from the Skoda and fit so many little cubby holes
