  1. On returning from shopping this morning my wife presented me with this small part about 2.5 inches long, which she found in the drivers footwell. It appears to be of rubber and on the rear has two small round indents at each end - it also appears to have had some form of adhesive on it at some time. My Yeti is 1.2 SE 2016 year - any help as to where this comes from in the car would be appreciated.
  2. I have used these people on a number of occasions and have never had any problems whatsoever. They certainly do stock many items unobtainable in the UK at pretty reasonable prices and shipping costs are not too bad if one places a reasonable order.
  3. I have a 2016 Yeti 1.2 TSI and have had this problem since new. The dealer told me that there was a software update for this problem but when I said that the Skoda forum suggested that the wiper motor be replaced they agreed to do this under Warranty yesterday. All now appears OK.
  4. I bought one of these for my 2016 FL SE really just to clean up the underside of the bonnet which has several holes into which the pad clips.. This it does well but frankly does not seem to make much difference to engine noise.
  5. Expatman:- go to Screen Settings in Bolero radio system Page 14 Bolero Instruction Manual the fifth setting will allow the clock to be shown on the main scfreen when the Bolero is switched off but ignition on.
  6. But you can set up Maxidot to show clock on the main media screen
  7. The side rubbing strips are easy to fit provided the surface to where they are attached is clean. Mine - the L & K version came from Deutsche Parts and cost around £60, what else is included in the "package " to get it up to ten times this amount - would really have to be good !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Luggage nets

I also found the large boot floor net folded in half makes an excellent pocket under the rear parcel shelf - this held in place with two small hooks drilled through the side of the shelf holds windscreen sunshades, brolly etc. For some reason my Yeti also only came with three bags ( another cost cutting measure ) as the original set should have been six, two small for the sides to hang on the hooks, medium for the rear of the back seat and large for the boot floor A moan to Skoda UK and the dealer produced another set of three so I can now hold absolutely everything in place in the boot. Could' nt do without them !!!!!
  10. Skoda seem to be devils for penny pinching, my new Yeti SE did not have side protection strips which cost me £ 60, the boot net set was only 1 small and 1 large net until I moaned to the dealer who stole one from another car - even Skoda UK told me the net set should be four pieces. As if cars were not expensive enough !!!!!!!!
  11. Regrettably the difference is as others have suggested is hardy noticeable. Having said that at least the underside of the bonnet now looks finished and it may help later in the year with colder weather - can't do any harm I feel
  12. Thanks James, have ordered today from Bickerton Skoda, was not aware of the Etka website very informative.
  13. Thanks guys, does anyone know if the bonnet sound deadening kit 5LO 863831 happens to fit the Yeti F/L 2016 or just the previous model ???
  14. After 500 miles in my new Yeti 1.2 TSI 110 SE I decided to open the bonnet for the first time and was very surprised to see the complete absence of any sort of sound deadening material under the bonnet lid. There appears to be a very large round space where this could be provided without problem but I wonder if this is yet another VAG cost cutting exercise like the provision of only two boot nets instead of the four previously supplied. Is this material supplied on more expensive Yeti models and if so can it be fitted retrospectively. ????
  15. I have a new Yeti 1.2 TSI SE Manual and have just covered the first 500 miles. I have been aware since new of a noisy whine in second gear at low revs accompanied by a metallic sound in the background. This does not occur with any other gear. Should I be worried ???? Also I have been unable to open the tailgate on a few occasions it appears to unlock with the remote but will not disengage from the lock - the only cure appears to be to lock and unlock a number of times. Any thoughts folks ????
  16. Don't mention instruction book mine supplied with new car was incorrectly bound completely in random sequence so trying to find anything in the index or the booklet is a nightmare. Dealer has informed Skoda UK - I am hoping to get a replacement !!!!! has driving me mad
  17. Thanks to you all folks, I do echo your comment re the main dealer !!!!!!
  18. Have recently taken delivery of a new Yeti 1.2 TSE 110 SE. When trying to personalise the car I found inside the armrest/storage box situated between the front seats something of a mystery. In the centre of the opened box is a black shaped plastic piece shaped a little like a bottle opener which moves up and down. I cannot see why it is there or for what purpose- neither can the main Skoda dealer . Any thoughts people ????
  19. I have a new Yeti 1.2SE on order which will be fitted with a Space Saver wheel resulting in the boot floor being raised level with the boot edge. I would like to buy a moulded wipe clean boot liner ( I have one already in my Roomster from GKS in Poland which really does the job but it has a lip and of course will not fit the Yeti ) but all I can find is the textured carpet item from Skoda part 5L 0061190. Has anyone on this forum sourced one of these items??? Any information would be gratefully appreciated.
