Hi well if you read the Intro to this Post your see its been to SKODA been to Diesel Specialist I'm not sure what more i could do the Turbo has been Checked Any Ways its going back to a tuning Specialist today in the Last Hope they find out what's wrong or Broken so i will make a Final Post here on the Results as if it don't get Fixed today I have the Car Sold and Cut my Losses until it Broke it was the Most Fun Car and still Love Skoda VRS Thanks for all the reply's Guys

Not Really ok if say I got in the car drive to work 5 miles car drives Rubbish no power zero turbo i Drop my mate off and come back on the way back on a straight bit of Road I hold the car in second and just put down for 5 ten mins we do Slowly start to go Faster Ie Revs start to go up if I then pull up in traffic and drive away the car drive with Turbo can change gears and Keep with any traffic even up to 70 mph car Pulls like the Turbo is Say half working then I park the car for a few Hours get back in Car and Drive away ZERO Turbo and drives Crap again Some times i try this trick to get Turbo to respond and it Dont work id say 65% of the time it Does Work doing that

Hi it is Really Strange that I Can if I Push the Car Hard Make the Turbo Work My Mate Thinks maybe the Waste Gate is Broken and even thou we seen the arm move inside its not and Waste Gate stays Open the Difference is Big like going up a hill at 1st gear at 14 Mph to going up the Hill in Second at 25 MPH and staying with the traffic flow at 30 so yes it is very Strange I can Force the Turbo to work a Little ??

Hi no mate dint miss the Question just hadn't got round to the Reply ok I have no Clue what the DPF guy did other than this he used a non VAG Machine at First and id told him before he tryed that that Machine wont Work on my car 20 Mins Later he Agreed and went to his Van and got a much Bigger Machine I Presume a Proper Vag one he took off the Pressure Pipe from the DPF and put a full Bottle of Cleaner into the DPF the whole operation took 3 hours as for what settings he did I Don't know He did get all the Lights to go out but Said my DPF was 80% full of Ash and said it would be a Waste of Time to Carry on he did take me to the Back of the Car and showed me the Catch Tray they use and hardly any thing was in it?? He then showed me the pipe throwing its self around like it was possessed that was taken off the DPF sensor, He said that it was still way too much Pressure coming out of the pipe and he said that Confirmed that the clean didn't really Help enough That's all I can tell you really Does that Help I haven't a Clue ?

I totally agree the strange thing is if I hold the Car in low Gears and get it Hot the turbo starts to work a little

Ok I'm reply to this Because you don't know this but I've owned this car for all most 5 years doing the same Driving for all that time and no Problems at all till this happened so I think in 5 years it would of Done this long ago if it was the way i drive the Car I might be 68 but the Boy Racer is still in there so it gets some fast driving

UPDATE Well had the DPF cleaned and Guess what made no Difference Turbo still Not Working and Now after 2 Days DPF Blocked again Limp Mode ECT what a Waste of 200 pounds that was Since then I had Some one Test the Waste Gate to make Sure that Part Was Working and it works fine But the Car Don't tell it to Move it seems Next I Guess is Double Check the new Boost Control Valve is Working as it should After that again I'm at a Loss ???

Hi thanks for your Reply and I have to agree with what you say you are Right Skoda did do a Print Out I dint understand it and the Diesel Place I got told to take the car to dint get me the report Back so I don't have it any more as for Driving only in town Drives with one small part up to 60MPH for 1 mile the rest all Town Work 5 days a week, Weekends it sits and we don't go out the report on the DPF said it was 80% Blocked so wouldn't regen as for how many miles a year I brought the car 4 Years ago it had 114K on it now it has 133K so only done 19k in 4 years almost 5 years now come june if this Helps the Car before the Turbo Problem used to Regen when I start to drive on the 60MPH part of my Drive So would the DPF stop the turbo from Working ?? a lot of times if the car is Cold the turbo works in a limited fashion till car reaches normal temp then I lose all turbo and its up hills at 11 MPH But if i push the car hard the Turbo will try to work till car cools Down a bit it seems ?? hope this helps Anthoney

Hi mate ok first if you read my intro to the Problem its been to Skodas who dint Know what was wrong its had a full live data read out dint say Much that helped Skoda Did check the Turbo the DPF man that I had come out just said DPF Blocked He dint say it was Broken Car Has Done 133 K so Not really Tons of Mileage for a SKODA every one that I've been to with the Car Scratched there Heads and say they never come across this Cars Problem Before Id Be Happy to throw another 200 pounds at the Car and have the DPF cleaned But its No Going to Fix the Problem that Blocked the DPF the first time But I appreciate your input re read my long intro you will see Many have had a go at Fixing the car and Kinda given it up or Passed the Buck to some one else all the best Anthoney

Hi thanks for the reply ok the Car Wont Regen even a forced one as the Turbo wont Work 2 fault Codes one is Low Boost and other is blocked DPF even if I have DPF Cleaned it wont Regen as the Turbo wont fire Up or if it does its only a little and Yes the Car Is in Limp Mode the real Point about all of this is Some times the car Drives even in Limp Mode Normally when it wants too Some times it will drive at 70Mph or 11 Mph Crazy I know but thats what it does

Hi every one I'm here in Desperation of some help a Long Story I Own a Ex Police 2014 Vrs est she has been my baby for 4 Years of Perfect Service then this Happened and the Night Mare Started My Car started to not Turbo but if I stopped and re started the car it would then Run Perfect this carried on for 6 weeks whilst waiting to be Seen at a Skoda Garage a Day Before the impending day the car Turbo Stopped Working next day I limped to Skodas they Plugged the car in it said it was Find they manually cheeked the turbo and reported it was working but it was sent they said only fault showing is low Fuel Pressure and said to change the Fuel Rail Pressure sensors one was not in stock so i had to use the car even with out a turbo the Parts came I had them fitted Turbo still not working but Fuel Pressures reading ok Next Day the DPF blocked called the Mobil DPF guy he was Nice said if you dont find out why the turbo not working First you throwing 200 pounds away as the DPF will block again so dint have it done Skoda Garage Suggested I go to a Diesel Specialist and I went they took a look at the car saw a small oil leak and the cars Miles and sent me home they had mostly 2 year old car customers my old ex police Skoda with unknow Problems I guess dint impress them Cars DPF is Blocked changed DPF Pressure sensor in case that was faulty no change just change the turbo Boost Sensor had Big hopes for this being the part to fix it but no the cars Turbo partly works when its stone cold of when its Hot starts Perfect ticks over Nice just no Proper Turbo ill add I have put cleaner in fuel and used a special turbo cleaner in the turbo all to no change I cant afford another car at 68 and its making me ill that I cant get it Fixed I Run a Disabled lad to work and back home so need my car i don't get payed for the lad I do it to help him have done now for 5 years any Thoughts on what's wrong I gratefully will listen to and try thank you in advance anthoney

Well im Pleased im not alone with this strange event i do much the same as other said i close all windows before i turn car off and it only hapends at night never had it hapen when i just go to shops or boot fairs ect because the desine of octavias is such that if drivers window down just a bit the rain drops right onto the windows switches i brought wind deflectors ive had them on a few cars in my time as for Skoda ones dont was your cash mine do not stop the rain on my window controls another 30 pounds wasted grrr it allso cant be fob low batt as i recently replaced mine So im still at a loss as to whats going on all the best Anthoney

Well ive been reading on the forum re other faults with cars and windows and i think i have the best one so far so here goes !! 2 weeks ago i came out to my car in the morning found my drivers window open and my window controls soaked and inop so fidled around got window up and orderd a new windows switches they came i fitted them all was well 3 days ago i came out to my car in the morning to find my back window drivers side down about 4 inches once again i put it to my age beeing forgetfull ect as im 63 so this morning comes to my car and 3 windows are down 4/6 inches all the same damn it so its not me i have no kids to mess with my fob i dont put my keys in my pockets they in my hand then left on my table till i go out again So i have a Ghost ?? or what any help will be good as i think my cars trying to drive me more crazy than i allready am lol oh for info my car is a 06 4x4 1.9 tdi est windows all work as they shuld heres hopeing to find whats wrong Anthoney

Hi all just a update re my cruise control i asked my suplier to send me another new stalk after a small chat he was willing to do this for just the postage of 5 pounds i fitted new stalk this weekend and bam it all works again very strange as the other stalk was new too yet failed so happy bunny now cruise retro fit all working cheers Anthoney

Great post and i totaly agree its a simple case of how good the mech is at the dealership i am a ex mech still do all my own fixes but ive known guys who shuldent be trusted witha spanner and some that are amazing and realy know thwere stuff its the luck of the draw my own local dealership on first looks and contac i think they know less than me re my skoda and i never owned one before now im very happy with my car by all that i read only the owners of cars can decide what is best for them and as i agree it depends on how much you trust your local dealer sorry to rant on just my two pennys worth all the best Anthoney

Hi well i did my own cam belt and water pump and all the rollers ect i brought the kit from ebay was only 96 pounds for the lot and to do the job i brought the locking kit from ebay another 40 pounds but its a tool for life and will do many difrent cam belts and makes and models the cam belt was easy to do was no way i was gona pay a garge to do this at 400 pounds plus so to re cap i did the whole job for 150 pounds all you need is a haynes manual and 3 hours spare and a few spanners ect my belt Kit has a 2 year garantee i hope this helps any more advise just PM me n/p all the best Anthoney

my cruise control stalk is new and it doesent have a plug so i cant un plug it lol but i cleaned it all the same no fix there hopeing to get another stalk from the seller and will fit that and report back here my 06 has done some strange things i think is the ghost of herby i fitted auto lights was no wire i added a wire and they simply worked i fitted cruise and dint lose power steering a few other things hapend i wont bore you all all the best Anthoney

Hi all well had my Cruise working for all of 3 days and now i just dunno whats wrong with it i took it apart as advised on the forum and cleaned all the parts dint help i checked my brake lights all working on checked fuses all ok i did read some thing about a Clutch Switch but ive looked and cant find one on my car any thing eles i need to check ?? or shuld i just buy another stalk and do it all over my stalk i brought was second hand but it dint say that on the sale They sergested i get it re coded is it possable its un coded its self ?? any other advise is greatfully recieved all the best Anthoney

Hi just my two pence worth i own a 06 4x4 est and it does have a orange cruise light but only shows when Cruise is set does not show on start up and mine was activated saterday and its packed up all ready tryed the clean method no good checked fuses no good grrr all the best Anthoney

Thanks guys and yes its a mrk 2 2006 4x4 est ill look at the links Sam thank you all ill let you know what i decided on a difrent note i phoned Skoda today re my inop air con i order a cheap preshure switch and fitted it when i had my car vag the other day it showed no air con preshure so as i figgerd the new switch is no good so back to my call with bristol st motors they told me a VAG air con preshure switch is 67 pounds my chin hit the floor its no like its a complicated part but it looks like i got to bite the bullet and buy one from skoda the worst Part of it all is i dont know if my old switch is faulty just changeing the cheapest parts before i have to buy a pump and lose the re gass i had done thanks life i ges Anthoney

Hi all thanks for the replys so far my Octavia has adjustable head lights so i presume its not a face lift one i was advised that if i fit a hid kit i probley burn out the control box or the wiper motor as if i understand right the hid kits fool the control box re Temp setting or some thing like that but to be honest i not got a clue if my baby is a face lift or not lol i hope that info helps Anthoney

Hi all well my baby now has auto wipers auto lights and cruise control all working great now its time to think about my head lights mine dont seem that bright and i have it on exspert advise that my light are halogen not Zenon boohoo so guys who know what can i fit to my car to make my lights better and before its said zeno is not the option to many wireing problems im advised ona mrk 2 octavia so realy its brighter blue halogens so i can pretend i got Zenons lol so please if you have been there and done this please share you advise and links would be great A Big Thanks in advance all the best Anthoney

Hi all yes i know the Jack hammer you on about ive seen it in aldi rember ive had mine nearly 2 years now so its a little difrent but looks the same and i still stand by it being a great tool some advice dont use the pointy bit unless you have too it gets stuck a lot use the chisel bit oh and be carefull the only weak point is the case that it comes in is rubbish lol still at that price cant have it all can we and as for browser i use firefox and on every thing eles but this forum my spell checker works fine but i right click to spell check here and it dont show up all the best Anthoney
