Just checked and yes. Not much room at all. Maybe my Octavia has seen its last days :(

Ok after some research i see the alternator removal is a big job. Any way I can replace the pulley with the alternator remaining in place ?

Thanks Tech1e. Doesn't sound too hard and I'm assuming the belt will be easy to take off /on.

Hi guys in need of help again. :( I'm fairly certain the noise I can hear is my alternator pulley. How do I replace this and is it easier if take the alternator off ? 53 plate Octavia mk1 1.9 tdi. Thanks for any help.
