Error messages - wife worried!
poczynek replied to poczynek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Yes will do. Also am now getting limited power from pressing accelerator. Going to get it towed back to Skoda service. -
Hello! My wife was driving our 2016 Skoda Superb this morning and has had a series of error messages on the dash and is a bit scared! We have two young children in the back and she is not sure what to do! The error messages that came up were: Fault – Passenger Protection Fault – Parking Break And another one she can’t remember. This now comes up on the dashboard permanently: Anything too bad??

Can you turn AC off without going thru menu?
poczynek replied to poczynek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Yes thanks so much! Works perfectly. Wife happy! -
So my wife has one major gripe: when she wants to turn the air conditioner off - as in the whole thing - she can't just press a physical button. She needs to press menu, then the menu on the 8 inch screen comes up and then she has to press the 'OFF' button on the screen. Is there any other way to turn it off completely?

VCDS options on Superb III
poczynek replied to BurialConstant's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks so much - didn't even know about that thread! Now got to see if i can justify AUD$412 to get a Micro Can just so i can adjust the throttle and disable Start/Stop ... -
VCDS options on Superb III
poczynek replied to BurialConstant's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Just bought the car 2 weeks ago but am PC savvy and just getting into VCDS! Main thing i want to do is to make the Stop/Start be memorised - i hate the bloody thing and want to permanently turn it off. So if i buy the Ross Tech VCDS Micro Can Interface, am i right in thinking that the Stop/Start will remember it is off even after the ignition turns off and i restart? If so, any instructions on how to do this? -
Start/Stop system-how to turn off permanently?

It looks like it is a VCDS change. I will ask my question on that thread. -
Start/Stop system-how to turn off permanently?
poczynek replied to poczynek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Yes having read up a bit in the last half an hour i think VCDS is the only way to do it. Am i right in thinking that if i get a Ross Tech VCDS Micro-Can then i can do it myself? And has anyone done it successfully? -
Start/Stop system-how to turn off permanently?

Ok so from doing some reading it looks like it may be something you can do it VCDS - anyone tried it? -
Had the car for two weeks and love it ... except for the start/stop system. It is so annoying. At every stop, every traffic lights it engages. And then you put the foot on the accelerator and you lose a momentary second or two whilst it restarts. I loathe it! Anyway to permanently turn it off rather than having to turn it off every time i restart the car?

Best tyres for grip for the 162TSI?

Best tyres for grip for the 162TSI?
poczynek replied to poczynek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Yes current tyre specs are 235/40/19 and yep tyres are one week old. I think it is more for peace of mind for wife due to the fact that the road was very wet and she was on a steep hill yesterday with our 2 boys in the back. -
Last weekend I got my brand new 162TSI specced out completely. Absolutely love it! Superb is superb. Mine came with the 19 inch tyres too. Only thing i read of issue is that the front wheels are not very grippy esp in the wet and they slip. So this week my wife was driving with our two under 3 year olds in the back and sure enough in the wet three times she said it slipped whilst taking off. One on a big hill and she said she felt a little worried! Am thinking of replacing the standard tyres at the front with something a bit grippier - thoughts on best ones? Had been thinking either the Pirelli P-Zeros or the Michelin Primacy 3s?? Any others i should consider?
