I finally picked up my car today. I am pleased with it despite the very long delay. Now need to get used to the new sat nav etc

I had a letter yesterday from Skoda apologising and saying delivery will hopefully be by the end of December! I hope it will not be that long as the car will have sat in a field for several months by then, which does not bode well for the battery and general condition of the car, I am know thinking of cancelling my order but will wait to see what Skoda Customer services say next week. I am now getting weekly phone calls rather than having to make weekly phone calls

Yes I am still waiting for a delivery date. It is now three weeks since the car was built minus its seats. I am expecting a phone call from a manager at Skoda UK tomorrow with an update as my dealer seems unable to find out anything

Another phone call to the dealer they have still not heard anything. they have given me the number for customer service and I will phone them tomorrow though I am not hopeful

I spoke to the dealer again today as it has been over a week without any contact. They do not have anymore information about delivery of my car other than to say that the problem is in the seat supply chain. I have a 5 seater on order. Some sort of compensation was mentioned though not what yet, I expect it will depend on how long I have to wait.

Phoned by dealer today stating that the car is built except Skoda have a shortage of seats so I am going to have to wait a bit longer. I currently have no idea of timescale

I've ordered a SEL 2.0 TSI 5 seat found out today it has slipped from BW37 to BW38 but should have it by late October which is what I was told when I ordered it.

Is this variant available as a 5 seater?
