B+M do a short shift kit for the Octavia,link ( choose model) and i have seen them for a sale on a uk site,just can't remember where (i'm a tool,found via google a while back).....Don't know if this is of any use

I find it best to open it part way and let the water run off into the gutter bits around the hatch first

What format are you after to play on your phone.I use this for my ipaq but it only re encodes to divx/xvid.Here. *edit....Looks like it'll do OGM aswell

After a little bit of google trickery came up with this. Can't say i've heard of em though.

I've considered one in the past,but figured there was no point as i am single and aint got the room.Certainly beats sitting at home on the weekends in front of the google box getting square eyes.

How about an older Civic VTi? I used to have the saloon version before the Octy.Handling wasn't super hot but i bet the Hatch is better,and an absolutely cracking engine (b16a2),great for pootling around town when off the VTEC,but take it to 7/8000 R.P.M (really anything past 5000 brings a smile) and watch most things disapeer into the background.

I saw an Octavia 1.8T (cant remember model but i think about x plate) going for 4.5k in the local rag the other day.Or are you trying to steer away from another Skoda?

I'd go in with a ridiculously low offer to start with and see what they say.I seem to remember reading a post somewhere or other where a guy got a few year old low mileage scoobie for somthing like 5k as the company just wanted shot of it.
