  1. I posted my number 038 last year but it hasn't went onto the list. From Fife Scotland cheers
  2. Not that I'm aware of mate, I replaced the bulb holder and wiring today(5 quid at scrappies....bonus!) and noticed one of the bolts securing the cluster to body is missing so I will remove it over the weekend and re-seal and secure. Passed MOT so all good. I will post here any further findings. Cheers lads
  3. Guys, had a look again today and not getting bulb holder until tomoz but inside the cluster there is signs of (greenery) defo some kind of water ingress. MOT tomorrow and left till last minute as usual for me. Will get it working then look at future prevention of water. Great fun. Burst cv boot also aaaaggghhh
  4. Yeah your right wino, I will be getting a new holder then looking into this as it does look as though it's been sat in water as opposed to getting dripped on. TMB your spot on, it was a surprise how crap it looked.....but hey I sometimes like actually finding something obvious..... I will report back any further findings, cheers guys
  5. So, with regards to the bulb warning light which should come on when a bulb is blown. Here is my findings..... Every time when braking, I would get the audible ping and the orange bulb with cross light coming on which done my head in. I checked the lights more times than I can remember and never found any issues. Until I had some spare time to look further!! I had in my head that the switch was faulty but thought I would check all bulbs first, as seen in the pic, I found this at the o/s/r cluster. One of the bulb connections crumbled away when I touched it. This drain on the lights was causing the warning light to illuminate. Tbh I'm just happy I found something.....trip to scrappies for me. Oh and I would be thinking about covering this electrical connection with some plastic film to prevent water getting to it. The joys.
  6. Yeah I like to scaremonger, hope it worked. I like tints, they look awesome and I cant deny it. But maybe I'm starting to show my age. It depends how much you tint them, I've seen some bad ones with little light projection.
  7. Tints ain't ideal for mots and police or for your safety of being seen depending how dark you go, but seen a yellow Fabia with yellow tints and quite like it which is acceptable for mot. Really up to you tho matey.
  8. This drove me demented but finally got to the bottom of it. After thoroughly checking all suspension, ball joints, bushes, component security etc, removing engine and gearbox mounts and then calling it off till another day!!! I am shocked to say i found it after 2 minutes today...... I jokingly said to another tech."its probably a rattly caliper".......it bloody was. Nsf caliper was rattling excessively in its bottom slide, some tit ground down the slide pin too much!!! A temp fix of heat shrink and some grease the noise is gone. I did try to check to see if the rattle would go away on test drive but because it was when the engine was under load it was hard to do this whilst braking!! I almost just bought drop links but so happy i kept digging on this. And.......nice quiet happy driving again.....bliss.
  9. My thumbs up turned into question marks! Lol
  10. I will have another look guys, i did check the drop links first and they seemed fine. It may be the inner bushes tho. Its not as high as the strut tops, it seems to be at floorpan level. cheers
  11. I am looking to see if theres any obvious issues with this as i am a tech and had a quick friday afternoon swatch and seen no concerning issues. Bought my fabia a month ago and over the last couple of weeks ive started getting a rattle when in low gears or it does it when you put it in too high a gear for the speed. Also on uneven road surfaces. It kind of sounds like a golf ball on the sub frame. Any heads up on this?? I checked the ball joints and bushes etc, exhaust ok. The only thing i never done was take undertray off to check engine/ gearbox mounts. Its getting worse tho so hopefully it will be an easy find when i get more time. Cheers
  12. You need to source your loss of fluid first?? Find the leak as if the servo or mc packs in, it isnt usually common to dry out the system. Fill with fluid and restest? Interested to know how this goes
  13. Just wondering if any updates on this. My vrs does this idling thing randomly too??
  14. Check the electrical connections at alternator?
